Congradulations! Great win for Coach Davis and his boys!

If I may use a quote from a former President " I want to make one thing perfectly clear" The parents at South Laurel supports Coach Davis, so please stop implying that the parents at south laurel are unrealistic and want Coach Davis fired. The prarents at south laurel like and back Coach Davis 100% and are soooooo happy for the change. Coach Davis, has been welcomed by parents and made to feel a part of the South Laurel family. The south Laurel parents are working hard in the Basketball program with Coach Davis, to make sure he has no worries outside of coaching. Coach Davis has also gotten support from former players parents to help make sure he's had a good transitution at South Laurel. The South Laurel parents have been made out to be bad parents and there is nothing farther from the truth! Coach Davis has embraced the parents and welcomed their help. Great guy, Great coach. When all players are back and healthy you will see a different team.

Mr Jaws, A lot could be posted about Coach wright and his problems at South Laurel. It would be counter intuitive for South Laurel, fans to post about Coach Wright dirty laundry and his situtions at South Laurel and in the London community. I don't care who you blame and if South laurel never wins another game this year their better off with Coach Davis. Coach Davis, don't baby players or their pay to play parents.:sssh: You know what I mean you should you're so close to the program and in the know.:thumb: Please stop posting about South Laurel and Coach Davis, Jaws Coach Wright moved on and you need to get over it and become a South western fan.

gold Coach Davis will be fine when South Laurel, gets healthy, They will be a different team Sanders is a big loss to South Laurel, under rated by most but a very skilled player and a important part of South Laurel. Matt salvey the number 2 scorer and a good rebounder 15 plus points a game. Austin Schaser, one South Laurel, top rebounders.

I believe South won a scrimmage early this year against Highlands in Somerset. But, they have had a of bit bad luck, Sanders out before Christmas to an injury, Slavey to a health issue, and as of last night another starter out. Hope all three starters can get back soon. But a good win for the Birds!!

Luck...I feel like it's was destiny for South Laurel and Coach Davis. God has a way of working things out even when things seems like confusion to us and others.

1) Harlan County 2) Barbourville 3) Knox Central 4) South Laurel 5) North Laurel 6) Clay County 7) Corbin 8) Bell County 9) Jackson County 10) Pineville/Williamsburg ?? Just an opinion of how the 13 region may shake out by seasons end. North and South Laurel will be two of the most improved teams in the13 region. Harlan County and Barbourville will fight for the 13th Regional Title.

The word out of London is General Davis, says South, going to rise again. Coach Davis, has the South Laurel Cards, working hard this off season. His players seem to be buying into his system and style of play. South Laurel, could be the surprise team in the 13th region this year.

What place and time of scrimmage?

:popcorn: I never said anything about my son Balling on younger players...I bought up two 12 year olds playing up 2 grades. :confused: For your tax's dollars; I truly doubt if the ever been spent on my chid....Only if you paid on some land tax's in the county. I pay enough Fed tax's to take care of it myself.:isurrender:

We talked to least 10-15 educators and 20 to 25 Parents that did or did not hold their child back. Not one parent that held their child back said it was a mistake. We had about 80% of parents that did not hold their child back say to us. That they wish they would have held their child back. Sports a side for minute this just means... I have a whole extra year of telling him to pick up his room and take the trash out:clap: It also means I have extra year to hear him say given me money :ohbrother: We did not hold our son back for sports or grades it was a personal decision... By they way if I did hold him back because of sports he's my son and this is America....:deadhorse: My opinion: Most of the top players I have seen play in the state hold backs or not can play at a higher level than their grade. I seen 2 PG's in the 8th grade tournament that were 6th graders. Both of them 12 years old playing well against older competition. My point is their probably hold back...but they can still play up on a different level. Good job Braxton, R W Combs and Keafer, Clinton Co. Both are differences makers on the teams...My opinion

Johnson and St. John's is better than Miller and Crawford just my opinion. Take Johnson and St. John's," and make a strong run at state.

South Laurel 8th grade defeated Corbin 14 to 6. Great win for the Cards...

Kentucky Kings, won USSSA Silver D2 Champoinship 14 Under freshmen to be....This team is made up of kid from Southeast KY. Kids from South Western, Knox Central and South Laurel.

If Ricky, was 6' 1" or 6' 2" he would be a major D1 prospect. Yes! He is the real deal!

If your a South, fan you would know...South went 12-0 last year beating Meece, Corbin, Knox Central and Clay County, and a very good Perry Central 8/7 grade team. South had never beat Clay, Corbin and Meece in the same year. They beat Meece and Clay twice including play offs.
