I didn't hear it. I talked to someone in the press box who didn't hear it. Further: This score never happened. Perhaps you took a wrong turn and ended up at a different game. Because I've talked to several people who never heard the statement made and certainly are aware the game was never 20-7. But enough of the nonsense: Raceland Seniors- Congrats on a great year. This team will go down as one of the greatest, if not the best, in Ram history. You all had wonderful careers. I know one of the Seniors, and have known him since he was just a litle kid, very well and I am very proud of the man he has become. Bret Denton- you are the man. Your parents have done a wonderful job and I'm proud to have served along side you in the mission field and watch you grow and mature in our church family. Your parents have raised you with integrity and humility and your Dad is a mentor to me as I know he is for you. You had a great career on the field and all of us at church are proud of you. To LCA- congrats. You fought back and the Rams just either couldn't, or wouldn't, adjust to try and defend the pass. But either way you played a tough game, you never quit, and it paid off big time. I am certainly rooting for you guys the rest of the way! It is indeed, as Sidelinedoc said earlier, A GREAT DAY TO BE A RAM.

Whoever wins this game...if Pikeville upsets Hazard does this still mean Raceland or LCA will be on the road the next week? Or does Pikeville have to go on the road to either Lexington or Raceland?

:thumb: With Farley- the future of Raceland football is in good hands if tonight was any indication. I was impressed with how poised he was. He made the reads and the 3rd and 8 he converted in the 3rd quarter knowing he was about to get leveled is a play a Senior makes, not a Sophomore, but he stepped into the throw and got the first down. They will miss these seniors for sure, but the program is reloading already.

I'll make no prediction other than I will be there and it will be wild. GO RAMS!

Congrats to Belfry on the win. Russell seniors- you guys turned it around during the Raceland game and got a win in the playoffs after many people wrote you off. You played your best and you have nothing to hang your head about. Good luck to Belfry the rest if the way!

I still can't feel my toes. But it was worth it. WAY TO GO RAMS! Tyler Farley deserves all the props he gets. That kid came in and looked poised and made a couple of big throws on 3rd down. But DC Express was just too tough for Fairview. Our line did a great job. Celebration is over. Time to eat some turkey and get ready for another heavyweight fight with LCA. Prayers to Tyler Boyles and his family. I hope he is okay.

Russell is playing much better football. It's a shame it took them so long to wake-up, but they are starting to play to their potential. Russell has some confidence now going into Belfry, but ultimately Belfry is just better. I think Russell will keep it closer then some of you give them credit for but Belfry pulls away in the end 36-20.

We dedicated our Veteran's Day program at church this weekend to Sgt Major Morris. I am so proud to have him in my family and in my church family. He taught me for 4 years, allowed me to be his teacher's Aide my Junior and Senior year, is still a major influence in my life and I miss having him around. My sons, like me, look up to him and he always take time out for them at cookouts and at church. They both write to him in Afghanistan often. He is most definitely one my heroes. Wendell Morris exemplifies what being a Raceland Ram is all about. It's about doing things the right way with integrity and always giving everything 110%. Friday night Raceland will take care of business with class and get ready for next week.

Quoted for truth. Too many people forget what high school sports are about. This isn't the pros, this about a group of kids playing football and having fun. So to not have 8 Man Football because it "might hurt our standing nationally" to me says we have lost focus on what is important.

I believe he was the Superintendent that got the current high school and middle school built. He was there from sometime in the 50's to the very early 70's.

I don't see anything wrong with this though. I thought high school sports was not about W's and L's but about kids having fun? If poorer 1A schools that struggle for numbers every year played 8 man then I see that as a good thing for the kids. Isn;t that what this supposed to be about? I could care less about Kentucky's standing nationally, I care about whether or not kids get to play and have fun. I would love to see someone sanction a statewide 8 Man League. It would give small schools that don't field football programs like Rose Hill and Elliott County the chance to field teams. If there was 8 man Rose Hill would be playing this year instead of having to put the brakes on their program due to numbers. If it's a positive for the kids and gets more kids playing football- it's not a bad thing. I don't have a problem with 8 man football.

And then some. I will be on the Russell side. If you can find me I'll be the idiot in the Raceland hat in the reserved seating. The things we do for our kids!

59 hours to kick-off. Supposed to be a fantastic crisp and cool fall evening. Perfect for football. Any word on how the field at the Hank is holding up? I know they put a lot work into it in the off season and lowered the crown and planted some new grass. I just wondered how tore up it was after the Mason County game on Friday.
