  1. Not sure. I think he made a few visits to colleges. There are a few kids being looked at. By who.........not sure.
  2. With all this college talk D1, D1AA, NAIA. There is a website that the recruiters keep it real. The web is ncsasports.org. Check out Jack Renkens short videos. Just keeping it real with real expectations.
  3. You hit the nail on the head about utilizing one OR two guys. HC has a boat load of talent that are JUST decoys on O. As for passing........I can't remember how many Int's HC had. I know a couple went for TD's. If the passing has gotten better..........I do think this go round the game will be tight.
  4. OK.....I've waited long enough to post my thoughts. First I want to say Newport played a better game than the past, they have some talent, and are showing improvement. Good luck! Now, as I've said in the past, I am an HC faithful. But the other HC faithfuls may or may not like what my opinion of the game was. IMO I'm glad the kids got out of Newport with the win. What I'm not happy about is the (here's that dead horse I'm going to beat somemore) play calling. 3rd and 8, 4th and 7 they call a run play. WHAT? HELLO! It didn't work the first 2 or 3 plays in the series so why go back to it? Right before half HC was driving the field and passing the ball with success. They get to the 6 yd line (?) 10 sec on the clock, with no timeouts, go to spike the ball and a penility was called and the clock stops. You would think HC would be lined up ready to snap the ball so when the refs starts the clock they can get one more play off. The answer is NO! Kozerski had the whole team off to the side like it was a timeout. They get back to the line, clock starts and they don't get a play off. You would think with playing in the Pros, the "0" line, he would know that. Also, they did not throw the 2nd half and not much the 1st half. Does anyone think you can win a game with ONLY running the ball, the whole game? From what I seen HC needs to spread the field. When you line up 1 WR, you know the run is coming. The entire season, the WR have been a decoy. I think the teams have figured it out. Line up 3 or 4, spread the field. From what I've seen, Walker can go get it, West catches anything close. Line up Ronker and Cooper too. Unfortunitly I'm not the ONLY HC faithful that feels this way. Hopefully the coaching will realize this and make the changes. It's as clear as the nose on your face what needs to happen.
  5. Can HC win this game and possibly be the #2 seed in their district? Can Newport upset the Indians and get their 1st conference win?
  6. I always try to keep it real. What's the chances both NCC and Beechwood offence playing that bad against HC? HC's "D" is very capable of playing that good. Did BHS have any passing yds.? But is guess you don't need to pass when #44 runs as fearless as he does. Way to step up, great job! But yes. your right, good teams always finds a way to win. BHS is one of those teams.
  7. Cody can throw the ball. The one thing I will fault Cody on is he needs to get rid of the ball and not take a 20/30 yd sack. IMO, poor play calling for HC lost the game. For those of you who have read my replies.......I'm going to beat this horse until there is nothing left. BHS could not stop HC run game the 1 half, but, BHS has good coaching and adj. the 2 half and stopped the run. Therefore HC can't/won't/don't know how to adj. their game. It seemed to me the short slants was getting alot of positive yds. Here's that horse.......HC has playmakers, get them the ball not just 44 & 29. 44 & 29 are great players and not taking anything away from them, but you have other weapons, use them. Against BHS just running will not win the game. HC had much sucess throwing. #88, 15, 11 can catch and make plays. I'm on a rant. If Cody's having trouble not having enough time, GO FROM THE SHOTGUN. I've played and watched enough football to know it works.
  8. My thoughts of Bwood.......#44 needs to be the featured back. Not affraid to hit the hole. FEARLESS!!!!
  9. Not so sure Rash woke them up, HC just went back to their old ways the 2nd half. The 1st half, HC showed some promise. But.......back to run between the tackles with no gain. Thoughts?
  10. I'm right here......I am a HC faithful. But we have to call this yr. what it is, a waste for some kids. Do I think HC can win? Yes I do! But, alot would have to change in the coaching philosiphy. HC has some very talented kids in skilled positions. I will say this again, again, and again, HC does not utilize the talent t-h-e-y a-r-e g-i-v-e-n. I would give anything to see HC come out and be creative, spread the field. I can guarantee the game will be alot closer than it will be on Friday by run, run, run, run the ball up the middle. Hopefully HC can prove me wrong by doing nothing but run. I would love to see HC come away with a win. Good luck! I will be back on Friday to discuss the game with those who attends the game. I then can get your prospective.

I wish HC the best on Friday and hopefully they can come out with a win. Maybe they can prove me wrong by only running. After Friday I will be back on and we can discuss the game with those who attend the game.
  12. I'll say this again, again, and again, HC needs to get more of the playmakers involved. A QB and 2 RB's on EVERY play and run the SAME 3 plays every down will not get you many wins. Expecially against NCC, Beechwood, Ryle.
  13. I will agree, Ryle has a big line, a good QB, and some playmakers. Like I always say.......the best team, doesn't always win, such as the SK game. Keep up the hard work, improve each week and you will get better. As in the HC game, don't ever let up, keep pounding.
  14. First , congrats to Ryle on the win. Way to bounce back. Good luck from here on out. Same old song and dance for HC. RUN, RUN, RUN, IT DOES NOT WORK. IT HAS NOT WORKED IN 4 OF THE 5 GAMES. Get a better game plan. What seens to be the prob? Is it the O line? Is the RB not hitting the holes? Is the WR not running the routes? Is the QB holding on to the ball to long? Is it the play calling? What is the prob? PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, SOMEONE EXPLAIN IT TO ME. I would have thought Sam would have rubbed some of his O knowledge off on Koz. Well, hang in there HC, it can only get better, because it can't get much worse.
  15. Come on, I'm a HC fan, but a fan like this gives HC a sore loser rep. The better team does not always win. But at this point in the season, NCC was the better team. HC is showing improvement on defense, the O has a ways to go. Hopefully come playoffs HC has the bugs worked out. Try to lose the sore loser attitude. Now get back to the thread of Ryle/HC.
  16. Exactly!!! Utilize the talent. No disrespect against Brossart, but teams like that you can run, run, run. Teams like NCC, Ryle, Beechwood, you have to be creative and spread the field.
  17. Are you kidding me......HC can run the ball against any team that puts 8, 9, 10 guys in the box. Expecially against a good run defense that Ryle has. Look how well it worked against NCC. Who knows about their play calling.
