  1. I've seen Dayton and Ludlow play this year, Dayton has the better team by far. Pnthr4life mentioned that Ludlow has 5 WR they can go to........I didn't see it when they played HC. I hate to knock the mighty Panthers......but Dayton played HC better. Dayton 21 Ludlow 7
  2. "Brown to Griffin........That's TD #5 tonight for Griffin folks". Camels win 35-7
  3. In the HC game they had 25 fouls and I believe 10,11,12 was personal
  4. It's no surprise how well Cov. HC is doing this year. They have alot of weapons on O. I really don't think the Beechies are going to expect what is coming next week. My disappointment is Covington Holmes. They have some HUGE talent on that team. But I really don't think they have the proper coaching. Rumor has it that old Beechies coach my be going to Holmes.
  5. Reading the last 3 sentences of the last paragraph raises the question: Doesn't the QB for New Richmond High School live in Taylor Mill?
  6. I am not a believer in recruiting athletes outside your district. I believe if your going to win, you need to win with the talent within your district. But, why should HC be condemed. When HC goes to play or scout a team, they hear about out of district athletes they might have. Could this be jealousy? I would love to hear your thoughts.
  7. I will start a thread asking thoughts about recruiting athletes. We'll use this thread for what the originator asked.
  8. OOOOK, just like the insident a couple yrs ago when The Mitchell's moved to Ft. Thomas. This isn't the subject of the thread, I was making a point that don't condem HC for what EVER high school does to beat the system and get better athletes. It happens and we have to live with it.
  9. Holmes has alot of talent but no dicipline. Personal fouls have cost them a few games. Holmes is the quickest team in NKY, but I"ll take BC by 24. Cory Farris is a animal, quick and hard to stop his power.
  10. I'll ask the same question, What will BHS do about getting athletes outside their district? And if you say they don't, your blind. I know may athletes that went to BHS that did not live in Ft. Michell. Living out of district is living out of district, even if it is across the river. I believe NCC has a player that lives in Taylor Mill, that's HC district. I believe BHS QB lives in Boone County. BHS does it, CCH does it, NCC does it, Simon Kenton does it. Do you think SK got 2 starters that transfered in by coinsidence? Don't think so.
  11. 3ptshooter, you mentioned "strength of schedule". Who has BHS played that was so strong that they beat? 1st game of the yr they played a bad Dixie team, I would bet my right arm BHS would not beat Dixie now. CCH beat BHS34 -0, Alter beat BHS 16 -0, BHS beat a bad Lloyd team 38-0. So besides that, HC has played the same schedule. So don't give me "strength of schedule". The first 4 games are usually warm-ups to conference play. In conference play BHS, HC, and NCC has beat the same teams by the same margin. My argument is, give HC a chance and don't live in the past on the BHS name. Ya BHS has X amount of state championships.......HC has not proven them self yet. So what, this is a new yr., new team, Without Yeagle BHS might not get the players BHS once got. I hear the freshman team is baaaad. HC deserves respect this yr of what they have accomplished. For such a young program, they have come a very long way.
  12. I've seen a number of JV teams play this yr. I'm not sure who will be the leading contender next.
  13. If NCC loses this one, they need not show up for the 1st round of the playoffs.
  14. I've seen BHS play a number of times this year. When you stop the run BHS RB will fumble the ball and the QB will throw INT.. So, if anyone has watched BHS this yr., you have to agree. HC makes it's mistakes too, but seem to overcome them. Beechwood is only favored because of the tradition, not because they are that much better. A name can only take you so far.
  15. I'll give BHS it's props, it has "GREAT TRADITION" and lives on that. This year they have a good team, not a great team. 1 of 3 teams has a chance to advance far in the tourny. Them being BHS, NCC, and HC. My prediction is that HC will beat BHS and get the #1 seed, then BHS and NCC can fight it out in the 1st round of the tourny. If BHS wins the #1 seed, HC will have to take care of business again. Then come back and beat BHS. Rumor has it that HC beat NCC by a fluke, no fluke, HC has a very good team. Someone says they only have a good QB/RB/WR, no they have 2 good RB, 2 good FB, 3 good WR, 1 good TE, and a massive OL and not to mention the DL. They stopped NCC RB which is a very good RB and can stop any team that has only a RB. HC, NCC, and BHS has played the same district games and each one beat the opposing team by the same margin. Give credit where credit is due. It will be a good game, but not BHS by 20, 25, 21, let's say HC by 7.
