NewCath at Bellevue predictions

Featured Replies

Breds hop across the I-471 creek to take on the Tigers in Bellevue in what possibly could be the last game between these two for awhile.

Lots of bad blood in this match-up since the start of the new century and this one has all the makings of continuing that.

Bellevue needs the big upset to keep playoff hopes alive. Can they pull this one out?

Thoughts?

NO:walk: :walk: :walk:

Lets just say that if I was NewCath I would play my second string just to make the game interesting.:jump:

I heard that NCC is having their homecoming this week and its at Bellevue's field. Now, I know there are several players who play for the Breds and live in Bellevue but this is ridiculous. Who allowed this if it is true?

We don't have a field? Our homecoming is ALWAYS at someone else's field.

The football game at Bellevue has nothing to do with Homecoming.

Do the math. If NCC wanted to have Homecoming coincide a "home" football game there would be about a 50% chance that the dance and football game would be on at the same date on Saturday since Newport Public would have the field on Friday night for a home game and NCC would have to play Saturday.

Newport Catholic 42-8.

So they couldnt schedule an NCC game on Newport's field on a Friday night EVER? Its one game out of the whole season where they could do this while the Wildcats go out of town to play someone. I am doing the math here.... just cant come up with a simple solution.

ONly question I have is......Will they have the candidates march on the field, etc.....

The ceremonies are held on Saturday night at the Homecoming dance.

If NCC loses this one, they need not show up for the 1st round of the playoffs.

There will be no mention of Homecoming and no festivites at the football game.

They can only schedule a game at Newport Stadium on a Friday night if Newport is not using the field. If you look at the NCC home schedule the Holy Cross, Beechwood, CovCath home game were all on Saturday and only the Bracken Co home game will be on a Friday.

Plus you have to co-ordinate finding a facility that has dates available.

And until the turf installation this year there was always a chance that the field would be unplayable on a Friday night (which was Newport's call) and games could be moved to Saturday.

Basically the most realistic solution is to have Homecoming on a Saturday following an away game on a Friday night.
