  2. Most people would say this is excellent scheduling. I know everyone is saying this is an easy win, but I don't think so. Also, you can't play the likes of TC, PLD, HC etc. every week and stay healthy. WH is a team on the rise. I know there are several posts that say Lafayette will win big, but even if they could, they wouldn't.
  3. I am a mom and I am all for kids playing any and all sports. I am an avid football fan, and while my son is not old enough yet, I continue to support the other kids. I have heard that soccer has a high injury rate, but cheerleading (imagine that) is the number 1 sport for injuries according to our physician at UK sports med.
  4. You know, I would love to see someone shock the heck out of Trinity! Go Bulldogs!
  5. This game could make Western Hill's season. And if it keeps raining all week on that messy field, anything can happen. I still look for the Generals to pull out the win. However, I have seen enough football in my life to not take ANYONE for granted. Good Luck Generals!
  6. This will be one heck of a rematch! Congrats to Russell. Mason's coach must have seen something to make him want to go for 2. You have to love calls like that...
  7. No rule, just bad manners. They need to leave the noise to the crowd.
  8. I agree that Lafayette has a huge advantage at home. And yes, it is a cow pasture. Amazing that they can even compete with the facilities they have. One thing about Lafayette, they will fill that cow pasture with rowdy fans, so it will be a pleasure for them to be at home. Congrats to Lafayette and the coaching staff for pulling a win out of a very messy game. The score did not reflect the actual game at all. Dunbar suprised me a bit, but if you can still win after all of the mistakes it is an accomplishment. I wish Dunbar would get that scoreboard fixed. I don't see how anyone keeps up with the time.
  9. I think PLDgreat has some very good insightful points to make. He obviously has more of an inside look at this team than most of us do.
  10. I'm sure that discipline does come first. I bet they play this week!
  11. This is one of my favorite games of the year. Both teams seem to be hitting their stride. Any predictions?????
  12. Boyle, I have believed in you all along! Congrats on a great win!
  13. You are right about this. But, if you look at the other threads coming out of Louisville, there are only two teams that matter. Henry Clay is an awesome team and deserves recognition for its outstanding season. They are a ligitimate contender, but the rest of the state (and seemingly Central Lexington) is wearing blinders.
  14. After reading the impressive list of football and basketball coaches endorsing this proposal, I have to offer my support. These guys are truly great coaches who have the best interests of the kids at heart. I believe they know what is best for their sport.
  15. That my friend is a tough call. Like I said before, I am hoping Boyle is going to peak right when they need to and once they get the momentum rolling should go pretty deep. Danville should also go far in the POs. I don't see them getting too threatened in the beginning.
  16. Boyle's time will come. This team is too good and too well coached to not pull it together. Their schedule has been difficult and I am sure the opportunity to rest and regroup will do them a world of good. There is still a lot of football to be played. I hope Boyle shocks the state at the end of the season! :thumb:
  17. 7 Lafayette 5 Danville 3 Scott County 2 Garrad County 1 Wayne County TB Lafayette
  18. This is not a good matchup for Dunbar. Henry Clay will throw all over them. Henry Clay should win this one by 30 at least. Dunbar's only chance is to jump up on them early and exploit the weaknesses in Henry Clay's denfense. This weekend all the teams in the district play each other so seeds will be determined.
  19. You stated very well the importance of the regular season...seeds in the playoffs. Henry Clay is loaded every year and should do well. I would love to see a Lexington team advance to the final. However, I would like to see them pace themselves and stay focused on the task at hand. I wouldn't even begin thinking about two weeks from now. This district is too fickle...anyone can beat anyone anytime.
  20. Henry Clay needs to stay focused on the game Friday night instead of playoffs...This is a team who historically does not handle success well.
  21. This is a highly emotional district game. Any predictions?
  22. No one in the state is doubting the power of HS football in Louisville. That has nothing to do with my comment. Great win for St. X. I am sorry I missed it.
  23. Nice win Warriors...Who do you guys have next?
