It amazes and amuses me when I read some of these posts...Apparently according to some St X and Trinity fans, those two are the only two competing for a state championship each year. I fully understand the strength of the two teams, but there are no guarentees...

I think this is a very interesting thread. I don't think players and coaches pay that close attention to these posts, but it can be motivational in some instances. I have no doubt that players mentioned playing/not playing can have an impact on preparation. I assume that most coaches troll the threads just to see what the fans are saying. It could be a wake up call in some instances.

I am sticking by the Generals this week. After coming off the disapointment against Henry Clay, I would certainly think Lafayette will bring their A game. Bryan Station is full of athletes, so this will not be an easy task. I'll take Lafayette by 17.

Openyon, it was a good game...for the first half. When you fumble twice and hand HC that kind of field position, they will score. Lafayette did not play well in the second half at all. Henry Clay played extremly well all 4 quarters. I do hope these two teams meet again.

Wow, you got both fists swinging here! I really don't think the BGP members are saying anything about calling for the staff to go. Dunbar has come off a great win this weekend, but the problem with this statement is between the coaching staff and the Dunbar parents/supporters. Great game though.

Henry Clay's defense probably couldn't play any better. They were better this week than they have been. Lafayette on the other hand couldn't have played worse. Flat all night. This loss could prove to be a good development for Lafayette. I wouldn't be suprised if these two teams meet again.

Wow, after reading some of these posts it is obvious that the Generals have touched a nerve in Lexington.

From what I understand this is one fine kid. He has had obstacles to overcome and he came out on top. Best of luck to this young man and I hope he continues with his career after highschool.

Thats the beauty of a new season, isn't it???? I have to admit an admiration for the Generals...I most certainly hope they peak this year in the playoffs!

Come on there Big Bear...you need to get something fresh instead of the schedule excuse. As for Harmon, I will put him against any coach in the state and I mean that. This is a guy who is building a program from the ground up...and is obviously succeeding at what he does. And yes, they did go 10-0 in the regular season. Thanks for reminding me!:lol:

I honestly did. It seems like everytime I look at Cantrell rankings, there are teams that are not getting their due. (and not just my fave teams)

Actually, I looked at BGP rankings.

I don't put much stock in Cantrell's rankings. Boyle is better than 0-4 and Lafayette beat them way worse than Henry Clay. I agree with Hatz. I consider Boyle the measure. Either way I feel like defense is going to be a key factor in this game and IMHO that is Henry Clay's weakness. Both teams have awesome QBs so I expect plenty of airtime. I look for a highly emotional game since Henry Clay has something to prove.
