Have you seen HHS or CCH play and let's throw in NCC. BHS knows what speed is, wait until you see their QB take off. Good luck w/that lopsided prediction.:ylsuper:

They are still in your area and the only school still playing. I guess down there things are different than up north. If there is only one team playing, the entire NKY fan base usually shows up to watch and support the home team. I guess that is what I was getting at. The problem here in NKY is we have 4 teams still playing:laugh:

If Frankfort's crowd is what it has been combined w/Beechwood's crowd as it has been, they won't take in enough money to pay the officials for this one. Pretty sad considering how hard these kids have worked all yr to get to this point and no one in the stands to watch them:cry: Shame on these communities!

Comparing Sr classes, BHS's class has been playing together since they were playing peewee ball w/the exception of th QB and he fits very nicely. Throw in the Jr's and this group has been together for a long time also and playing for one reason and we all know what that is. This will be a great game, don't think anyone will be disappointed. Just a shame one team has to lose.

If I am wrong and Beechwood gets beat I will publicly agree, Frankfort is the better team but I don't think so. SuperB, have you even seen BHS play. This should be one heck of game. What experience are you talking about?

Maybe so but I don't think Paris ever beat the Beechies? Don't recall anyone from Beechwood complaining about the field just asking what kind of condition it was in this late in the season. Some schools take very good care of their natural turf compared to others. No one is riding a horse either, must be confused w/another team. Only difference playing on grass compared to turf is the uniforms will get dirty.:dancingpa

Everyone has their own opinion, exactly right and my opinion is that everyone will be rooting against NKY teams. Birdfan, you are correct, it was in '78 that no team from NKY played in a final but every yr since then, NKY has been represented.

This time of yr is great when most of the state is rooting against you. I bet 3/4 of the state is cheering against all the NKY teams to get beat Friday. Only the NKY fans are cheering for the teams up north. If my history is correct there has been a NKY team playing in the finals in one class or another since 1981, that is pretty good IMO.

Sounds as if the crowds should be about equal. Beechwood hasn't had a crowd since the last game of the season. The playoff crowds have been very disappointing for the kids but if you have been around Beechwood long enough, that is how it has been for several yrs now. They all wait until the finals, well, you all better not wait around this yr. Frankfort is very good and the Beechwood team deserves your support this week, so be there.

SuperB, don't fool yourself. That record has alot to do w/everything. Beechwood knows how to win and especially this time of yr. I don't know if Frankfort will be intimidated or not but I guarantee one thing, Beechwood will show up and be ready to play. They are in very familiar territory being in the semi's and knowing where another win will take them. 75 miles South is far enough away for me to not consider them as part of NKY, once you get past Walton you are out of NKY, IMO. All the talk about NCC moving up to 2A, don't have the exact numbers but I think BHS is like 23-8 against NCC since 1991 so what is everyone talking about.

W/this said, I will say Beechwood will be the luckiest team in the state. Since 1990 thru 2006, Beechwood is 202-33, I will go w/them to beat Frankfort and go on to win another title, along w/HHS and NCC.

If Frankforts offense isn't on the field, it doesn't matter how much speed they have. Beechwood's line will be fine and their offense will control the tempo of the game. If this game does not have the same ref crew as they had last night, they could be OK. Don't know the stats from last night but I would bet that Beechwood had more yds in penalties than LHC had in total offense. They do need to cut down on soooo many dumb mistakes. This should be a barn burner but I will go w/Beechwood. Is Frankforts' field in as bad as shape as the Mayfield faithful have told me?

I don't know about this statement but she could make the top 10 list. I am not sold on Towls/Webb yet! I think some could make a case for Sandfoss if she has a good season and what about Daughtery from Ludlow. Isn't she suppose to be Div III pre-season player of the year?

Hopefully the 52 voters for Beechwood will show up for the game Friday, that would be more fans to show up than the last two weeks. Beechwood plays Beechwood football, Beechwood wins!

On the negative end though, it is always a big deal to be practicing on Thanksgiving Day, a goal so to speak but now w/so many teams getting there, just don't seem so cool any more. I am sure the parents at Beechwood will have their normal breakfast for the kids/coaches and lunch on Friday.

True but 2/3 personal fouls on Beechwood were penalties that I have never seen called on an offensive player, leading w/the helmet as the ball carrier. He had no choice but to duck his head so not to allow the Bellevue players to dive helmet first into his legs, which had happened twice already. I thought the entire ref crew were thinking they were calling a peewee game. As for the poets comment, I don't believe they were intentionally trying to hurt another player but a few of the personal calls against Bellevue were dirty especially the one on the screen, 30 yds down field the Bellevue player(defense) purposely took out the centers knee, neither player was close to the play, not necessary at all but he got caught.

Very disappointed w/Beechwoods crowd again. Last week, Ludlow had more people in the stands and again this week, Bellevue had way more people in the stands. I had a CCH grad say to me "this is crazy, I can remember when I played that Beechwood was the place to be on Friday during playoffs, what happened!" Very sad that all the Beechwood fans take for granted that they will win. I bet everyone shows up in Louisville and in the cafeteria for free food if they make it that far. Great win!
