Ashland's summer schedule is very extensive and is posted under a another thread. Going to Western KY, Lexington, Maysville among other places. Will play over 30 games agaisnt top notch competition all of June. :walk: Matt Thomas is also playing with Derek Smith All-stars. Don't know about Rose Hill?

Great win for the Tomcats. Also beat Boyd last week. 13-8 not too bad considering the youth on this team. They will be a tough out come Districts and Regionals.

Ashland is going to the following summer camps: June 5th-6th Lexington Catholic Team Camp June 8th-9th Mason County Team Camp June 16th Morehead St. (Shootout) June 19-21st Fairview Team Camp June 22nd-24th WKU Team Camp Should be 30-35 games total. :thumb:

Ashland also has Bonner and Coleman back as well. Believe Boyd has Mayhew and Wilson back in addition to Selby. Rose Hill has whole team back and Fairview has 3 very good Soph's. 64th is loaded. Of course Elliott has entire team back as well. Should be a great year in the 16th. :ylsuper:

AP Awards are voted on by Journalists only. Associated Press. To my knowledge there is no ballot. I think there are only like 12-15 journalists or papers in the state that are AP certified and able to vote anyway. Nice to be recognized but the Courier-Journal and Herald-Leader awards are by the Head Coach's in the state. I may be wrong on this anybody else want to chime in?

Actually Turley was at Greenwood in 1996. Phil Gibson was at Henderson Co. in 1996 and took them all the way to the Final Four of the Sweet Sixteen. Turley had just left and yes he coached Fishback.

You guys all make good points. Grant Coutny is suffering the same problem alot of Rural communities face. No YMCA or Boys Club or Church Leagues. If they don't make school team they don't play. How is the kid supposed to get any better? I agree all kids should get developed. Fact is More suburban and urban places have those resources and leagues where all kids can play and then maybe get better. Places like Grant and others do not. You have to do the best you can with what you have.

Since everybody on here seems to know everything here goes, If you were coaching and the opposing team still had their starters in and was pressing would you take your starters out in the regional tourney? AS Old Soda said earlier. You take your starters out and concede Biggs always takes his out in return. Most coach's do the same thing.

I doubt it. Don't they play at 5 o'clock? Doubt to many from Taylor Mill will make the drive. Shame too they have a shot this year. Very good team and coach. :cry:

Henderson in a walk. Each game by double digits.

PC in 05. Crowd was amazing. Hundreds outside could not get in to final game against Montgomery.
