Anderson lost to Shelby in the district finals. Gallatin beat Owen in their district finals.

Penny was clearly spent and heartbroken, I was waiting for him to get up and go through the line but by the time he did stand up, GC was walking out with him and there he shook hands with a lot of the GC players and at least one coach. Gallatin was in this same situation last year, they knocked out Shelby, so they clearly showed that they can win the big game.

Do some research becausee first of all you left out Cov Cath. Second of all Boone didn't even make it out of the district, so their has to be at least 1 or 2 more really good teams from the ninth.

Possibly the biggest injustice in the history of the sweet 16.

He is a great talent but I don't see him trying it, but if he does I wish him the best of luck.

Big game experience, plus there were some players receiving a lot of playing time the last few games that hadn't received much the entire year. Also, yes I think next years team will be worse, but in their district and the 8th region they will be far better off than if they were still playing in the 9th.

I think they'll need Shelby to be in foul trouble much the same how Maegley was for SK. They didn't have an answer for him on the low block but he couldn't stay on the court, they may need a similar scenario in order to have a shot a getting a 'W'.

If they can knock down some shots they will be in the game (much the way Gamble kept Owen in the game against Shelby) but I just don't see them winning.

That is all probably true, but I think he just had a bad game at the worst time.

What are you talking about? I think Gallatin will win and move on to the finals?.. Just because people pick against a team doesn't mean they hate them, it usually just means they have a feeling they are going to lose. Not too sure what the jab at me was for though?

They beat a Holmes team that wasn't at full strength, and they would not have been a contender because they would not have even been considered a favorite to make it to the regional finals. With a bad draw they might not have made it out of the first round.

Not really, it is still much easier than the 9th where they wouldn't ever get out of the first round (if they get out of the districts) unless the received a very favorable draw. Had SK been in the 9th the last few years they would not have even been a strong candidate to make a run at the regional finals.

This years team wasn't expected to head down to Rupp, they lost way too many people from last year. The last two years teams could have went and it wouldn't have been a surprise. Had Hester not had his worst shooting game of his career last year they would have won it. The SK teams from late 90's/early 00's would have went to state in the region the way it is now and possibly would have made a trip back then too. Last night's team simply wasn't smart or experienced. There was really only 2 players that had ever seen varsity time and it showed this year. They made many many stupid passes and shot stupid shots. Throw foul trouble on Maegley in and you get a loss. Plus their record was around .500 so I don't understand why people are acting like them losing is such a big deal.

I am pretty sure they have 3, Ferris, Conley, and Warmal (sp.).

Rather than your fellow district representative? I think SK wins this one by around 20.

Exactly.:thumb: If either of those two were on HC rather than Cory they would still be watching from the sidelines. To be perfectly honest, I don't think McGraw nor Arrez would have been able to do what Sorrell did this year. Every game the other team only had to worry about him, and yet still almost every game he was able to go out and put up huge numbers. He may not win POY but he definitely deserves to be in the conversation.
