Are you suggesting that Rose Hill got cheated? I think they just got flat out played by the better team that night. Raceland is a very good defensive team, and shut down the big guys of RH. Give them some credit that they shut down the big freshmen for RH. Those 2 are good players, and will no doubt be the top of the region in a couple of years. If they stay there that long. Please just give the credit that is due. I think a lot of coaches are gonna look at how Coach J played the Royals and start playing them the same way.

There is no rule that says a HS team can't become the team of a club other than their HS coach can have nothing to do with the team.It does seem that basketball has a hand up but they follow all the rules same same as football does. If there was enough interest, a football club could be started and nothing could be said. Basketball is also the sport better suited for year round play. Baseball and football could be done the same way but no one has decided to do it. I don't think football has a gripe. No one has stepped up and tried as far as I know to get a club team started. Don't get me wrong I love high school football as much as anyone else, but maybe someone needs to give it a shot and see how the year round football would go.

If you knew anything about it, you will realize there was a chance he would get a chance to go against his nephew. His nephew is the coach of Greenup Co. kinda a family thing. Sorry you don't see things like that. Billy is probably one of the classiest High school basketball coaches in Kentucky. Just a chance to coach against family class all i can say is classy.

Hey maybe we were invited to bring some real competition to the tourney. It is not our fault that we are that much better than anyone in the Eastern Kentucky area. We play the games so our boys will be ready for when it comes down to the state tourney. I am not a parent just a SC fan.

Don't worry Russell fans I don't think Mercer will be able to compete competitively in 5A. They will be in the ranks with 3 or 4 Northern Ky teams. I don't think I need to name them. Russell I want to give you all the praise. I know there have been a lot of distractions this year. You all have pulled together and made everyone in the state realize you are for REAL. As for coach McGlone there is not a better football coach in the state of Kentucky. This man has set the bar for all high school coaches. But his biggest accomplishment is not on the field but what he has done for each young man that has walked on the Russell field. I have the utmost admiration for this man for who he is and what he has been going through over the last few years. Coaches around the state take note if you wanna be admired and respect you need to mimick(spelling) Coach Ivan McGlone.

Man the same thing that has helped them this far is what is beating them tonight. How Ironic ????????? The boy came out and gave 110% effort tonight, and have no reason to hang their heads. These kids played well all year and made believers out of as lot of people.

Just wasn't their time. These kids are as hard nosed as I think I have ever seen a Ram team be. The defense doesn't know the word QUIT. They made the difference in the LCA game last week.
