WOW 10-0, I would have never expected this before the season started, these kids and coaching staff have done a tremendous job this year.

Congrats Eagles, Welch played a great game 2 Int. 10 Ints for the season that has to be a record.

JC 7 Mason Co. 0 End of 1st Qtr.

I think that South Point, Bryan Station and Ashland each scored 1 TD.

Since JC is playing at Mason Co. this Friday night, Ashland my be able to barrow their PA system but you would have to furnish your own announcer. This should be an exciting game Boyd Co. has been playing better of late Good Luck to both teams and hope that it's injury free.

I'm sure the game was played in the fall of 1976 Ed Vanhoose was in his first year at Central and Steve Trimble was a Senior that year. In the fall of 1977 my senior year JC did not play in the district.

Eddie's been coaching the 7th and 8th grades for at least the last 14 years and has done an excellent job with these kids.

This game will be a good one. Mason County has an excellent team and could beat JC if they don't come prepared. Coach Matney and his staff have done an outstanding job this season I think they will be ready Good Luck Eagles!!

I believe the game was played in 76 Brian Taylor kicked a field goal as time expired which was ruled no good. JC's team was escorted back to Pikeville by the KSP. At that time the district included Russell, Belfry and JC. In 77 JC did not play in the district and went 9-2 with loses to Paintsville and Pikeville.

I was telling some of my friends who live in West Virginia about Kentucky's 45 point rule. They said West Virginia was considering some type of rule in line with our 45 point rule.
