Just a reminder. This is the Central that has won 8 State Championships in like 12 years. The game was at their place. The Flyers won.

Central had won over 50 District games in a row before tonight. The Flyer Defense was off the charts good tonight. Answered the bell!

Well the Flyers proved a lot of folks wrong. This bunch is special. Great atmosphere! Great game! Central has a great team and played with class. Hard fought win. District Champs!! Go Flyers!

I'll go with Central 27-24.

Fred Farrier is in the top 10 from Franklin County. I'd say 7 or 8. Kid is really good.

The Flyers had way to many mistakes including 4 fumbles lost. That made the game a whole lot harder than it had to be. An ugly win, but sometimes you just have to get the win and learn to stay focused. Back to work Flyers. You gotta big one coming up on the road next week. Go Flyers!

This one was tied at 14 at the half. Actually Waggner lead most of the 1st half. Central finished strong in a driving rain.

I'm still waiting and wondering to hear if any of you have heard or seen of the request for 8 minute quarters at the High School level? Curious minds want to know.

The Flyer Offense put up about 450 yards of Offense on 35 plays last night. The ball was really spread around too. Big plays by #2, #13, #6, #7 and #18 along with strong play by QB Nick Broyles. Time to prepare for Waggner Flyers. Keep grinding!

Final. The Flyers jumped on the Mustangs early scoring on the 2nd play of the game and they never looked back. Leading 48-0 at the half the Mustangs HC asked for 8 minute quarters with the running clock. The 8 minute quarter request was a new one on me. I've never seen that at the HS level. A fast 2nd half finished with the Flyers JV/Frosh Defense stopping North Oldham deep in Flyer territory. The HC that wanted 8 minute quarters was calling timeouts with under 20 seconds left. It seemed odd to me but the Flyer D closed out strong and ended it.

Flyers were slow and sluggish to get going. But they turned it up in the 2nd half and finished. District play is next. Get to work Flyers!

Either way guys Anderson Co was supposed to be the physical team and they were much bigger up front on both sides. Give some credit to the kids for the Flyers putting on a clinic. The 2 teams were supposed to be even and it wasn't close. The Bearcats are well coached and have 2 great runners as well. The Flyers just took them to the woodshed. Go Flyers!

There was no onside kicks with the Flyers up 40 other than the 1 the kid made a huge mistake on. Learn what a pooch kick to the 25 or 30 is. That's what the Flyers were doing. Don't complain about 40 yd pass plays during a football game. Work on ways to stop them. I'll let the huge crowd that was there speak for how this one was played. I'll stick to my stance that Western Hills is dirty and the coaches refused to take the worst ones who received penalties out for even 1 play. Facts! I'm done here. Next.
