It was a partial tear from what I heard to clear things up. Apparently he might be able to come back in 4-6 weeks.

3-2. Brenden Wells pitched 7 innings of 1 run ball while throwing 76 pitches. 59 for strikes.

Well fortunate for them then. Still the score of this game is crazy. As for all the hit batsmen that was discussed earlier, could they not just get out of the way? I know some coaches teach the players to just stand there if the ball is thrown at you but in this case you should start telling them to avoid it and also do not walk regardless of where the ball is pitched. I think more could have been done to curb a score like this but then whats done is done.

More or less most of their top pitchers in their staff which also are some of their key bats in the line-up. Scott hasn't been too bad this year but they would be a lot better if they had their entire staff healthy as well.

In one of the games I mentioned above, I should have said that after the 3rd inning the coaches had mutually agreed to end the game as it was clear it was one sided and this wasn't helping either team anymore. I'm wondering if there as a mutual agreement after this one as well to end after the 3rd inning.

About 8 years ago when I was in high school, we were up by 20+ runs going into the 3rd inning. Granted after about a 15-run lead, our coach said to only advance one base at a time. However at this point our coach said that we were NOT allowed to walk. Meaning even if it was a 3-0 count, we had to swing. The only way we would be allowed to get one base was to get a hit of some sort. I would have personally liked them to do that at that point because that game appeared to be WELL out of hand.

I always forget about Murray. Solid ball player. I'd put him 3rd behind Norton (1st) and Kramer (2nd).

I don't know how Kramer did but Wells threw 49 pitches (5 innings) in the game :clap:

There have been plenty of cases in baseball of smaller teams doing well like LCA, Beechwood, etc. but the most of the time the bigger schools are a bit more successful on the average. I'd say there is a bit more parity in baseball only because it takes on really good pitcher and you can balance out things pretty evenly even if its between a far superior team and an inferior one. Football classifications are bit more required because that is more of a "team" sport and if you have more talent working as a team then you will be more successful. With more players to choose from in big schools, that typically translates out well into finding a good amount of talent. Baseball is a bit more of an "individual" sport. Sure you win and lose as a team but the impact of each individual is felt much more. That can be bad or good but that especially comes down to the pitching position. Thus I can see why it hasn't really been brought up too much before.

Cody Elliot from Beechwood was with the Indians. I don't know if he is still with the farm system.

I don't see how Dixie and HC are ranked. Dixie and HC don't have much pitching returning from last year.

Pete Ohmer from Scott is also a pretty good 1st baseman

Scott and Brossart aren't in the 9th region. And Everett is out for the season as it is.

Definitely. If Spata can constantly get on base. The first five in Scott's lineup can be very dangerous.

If they stay down on the freshman team, yes. Trame and Terry might start out on JV. Ohmer will probably start out on the freshman team and then move up in the middle of the year.

Thats a big time offer given the current offers he already has. If Alabama has offered, I look for the list of offers to dramatically increase sooner or later... probably the former. Congrats!
