Junior DL/OL Matt Elam was offered a scholarship by Nick Saban and Alabama this morning while on a visit. This makes his third scholarship offer UK, EKU, Alabama. :ylsuper:

Congrats!

Wow! Congrats Matt!!!

Thats a big time offer given the current offers he already has. If Alabama has offered, I look for the list of offers to dramatically increase sooner or later... probably the former. Congrats!

That is awesome and seriously big time!!! Congrats Matt!!!

I get what you're saying, but not really.

Elam is nowhere near the girth of Cody.

Outstanding, congrats

Matt received a WKU offer today! I'm sure the Alabama offer will create a avalanche of new interest going forward. He is a great respectful young man.

Slobber, I heard UK gave hime a soft offer with several "Ifs". If he loses weight, If he has the right ACT score, etc. I also heard Saban wants him "as is". I hope this is not true. As a UK fan, I'd hate for them to miss getting Elam. I think more offers will come in now that Bama offered....but where the heck is UofL in all this. As far as I've heard, they haven't shown any interest.???

Tough choice.

Good luck to him as it sounds like he's going to have some great opportunities.

I would also like to see him at UK also. I'm sure if Matt would like some UL interest he would just need to attend a camp. I heard UK wants to play him at Offensive Tackle. I know he loves defense but with his ability to move for his size that may be a great spot for him.

VERY nice kid. We were at the UK JR Day and talked with MAtt while we were there. Very nice and quiet kid. At least on the trip he was. Very very big kid.......Congratulations.......
