  1. If Koz doesn't open up the offense this year I can't imagine he ever will.
  2. I would like to see the wildcats make into Richmond it would be a new face for the 9th region down there.
  3. Congratulations Jags. Watched them play NCC at Thomas More, it is not going to take Coach Sullivan long before they are competitive in the 9th.
  4. If I'm not mistaken Cooper's top 4 freshman are playing strictly JV and Varsity only.
  5. SK was the preseason pick to be the best team in this district largely on JRs and Sophs. While that was asking alot from them early on, it has now paid dividends and they are playing their best ball of the year.
  6. Don't know why anyteam would take a team that has already beaten them lightly. There is no doubt Conner is improved it is JMO that Simon's young players have benifited greatly from this season and that will be enough for a diffrent outcome this time around.
  7. SK's young players have matured alot over the past 5 to 6 weeks and they are a much better football team. Every team should be better now than they were 6 weeks ago but I'm just not sure Conner has improved as much as SK. With that said SK by 17.
  8. I think SK wins this one but I don't see where everyone thinks this will be a big win for them. Didn't HC play both NCC and Ryle to closer games than SK did?
  9. Roenker is not a finesse back I would think he will be better in the mud.
  10. CCH24 how were these kids as freshman? It just really sounds like a coach testing the kids. As a lot of people have said there are easier ways to cut the kids. If he is going out of his way to be malicious to these kids then there is an issue.
  11. These kids tried out and made it as freshman. What if their were commitment issues after they made the freshman team. If this is the case do you not think additional testing of their commitment is in order.
  12. How good were these 2 as freshman, they may have been very good and their commitment was lacking. In that case the coach may think he could use them but only if they are 100% committed to the team and not themselves. This could be a test for the 2 young men and not just a way to run them off.
  13. Any word on the Walker kid for HC his playing or not could make the difference in this game.
  14. I would anticipate it might not take as long as some think to get this program competitive. If I am not mistaking there is no open enrollment in Boone Co. So If a kid lives in Cooper's District then he will be required to go there or pay tuition to go some where else. I know that seniors have a choice but that is it. I could see this program competitive in 2 to 3 years.
  15. I know the week of their football camp the final grade had been leveled and the next step was to put the turf down but I haven't been out there since.
  16. I thought all along Tim was the best fit for this job. He's young energetic and relates very well with today's players. All that were mentioned here would have made good headcoaches but Tim was the right choice to start a program. On a side note the administration must have done a good job on selling the program to him. Due to the length of this process I wondered if he would turn it down.
  17. This is a great story and one the FTJRFL should be very proud of. Your son will grow up with great stories to tell and the other young men will grow up with their priorities correct.
  18. At this point I think it is going to take alot of convincing by the administration to get any quality coach to step in.
  19. I've heard most teaching positions are filled
  20. This can not help their cause when trying to win over a quality coach to start their program.
  21. Western, with their style would be a perfect fit if they are interested in him.
  22. HHS never seems to be lacking at the skill positions, it is in the trenches that they sometimes lack. If they have a pretty good line coming back I am sure they will find someone who can run behind it. BTW totally agree about the coach
  23. What does SK have coming back? I know the younger Sorrell is out there, will he contribute or do they have a bunch better than him?
  24. I know their junior class went undefeated as freshman, I would think Walker at QB and Roeneker at TB would make for a pretty strong backfield in 2A. If I'm not mistaken they have a few quick wideouts to go with them in that calss.
  25. Didn't Walker take the majority of snaps at QB when he and Roenker were Freshman, where does he enter the QB mix?
