So Blackman is undefeated. They beat Smyrna last week 28-13. Blackman is ranked 6th in TN and 119 in the nation and only beat Smyrna by that score? Smyrna is 1-3 in District play, 5-3 over all. They are ranked 29th in TN, and 1106 Nationally. You telling me BG is not good enough to beat a team probably over ranked statewide and nationally? In my best Keyshawn Johnson voice, "C'mon Man!" Scheduling a game mid-season just to keep someone from breaking your record is about as Busch League as scooting your team back for a free kick to get a 60 yard field goal. The Rocks surely have more class than that! If the don't, I just became a BG fan.

I would say how many HC signs were in yards in Cincinnati? Who really cares? It is not illegal for Catholic schools to recruit. Guess what, they aren't just recruiting for sports. They are recruiting for tuition-paying students. That is their first priority. If they play sports, even better. Look at the Thursday night games on fox sports. How many times do you see that commercial for Moeller HS? There are ZERO rules when it comes to recruiting kids to play at Catholic schools as long as they are paying tuition.

Got kicked out of my seats last time at the pit by a family of well known birds. The nasty manner in which it was done changed my spotless image of this family forever. I was told at the gate it doesn't matter where you sit but it did to this mother and grandmother of a player. We were sitting in these seats for over an hour. They(mostly the grandmother) made such a ridiculous scene that I was embarrassed for her. Being that she is a retired teacher that worked with my wife I was shocked that she carried on that way. So let me suggest that you sit where your seats are or prepare to defend your spot!

But what happens when you reach the running clock in the first quarter? Your starters need reps too especially getting close to playoffs. You can't just pull them when the running clock starts. They won't be conditioned to play in the fourth quarter when they do start matching up with teams more of their caliber.

I agree that Brossart can make it as a program. It just takes time. The thing that worries me is not so much the football programs but the schools themselves all staying open. It seems like all schools in the diocese are desparate for money. At least they are each Sunday during mass. I say that if enough young kids and parents stick with it (ie the middle school team) then they will enjoy the spoils of their labor in the next 5-10 years. I am just speaking honest and realistically.
