No paybacks needed, they didn't run the score up. I used them in the title because they've scored 90 this year. I just can't understand how some of these parents think.

Some parents just cant accept the fact that their kid and their kid's team are terrible.

With a 36 point running clock and you get 90 scored on you, that means your varsity can't stop a freshman team. You deserve to get 90 put on you.

Some people are simply idiots. So your boy and his team got a good old fashioned beat down, get over it.

 

Now with that said, I would have a problem with that team that scored the 90 points, and this is why. Not because they scored 90 points, but more because apparently that is the norm for them this year. In the article it says they have averaged a margin of victory of 77 points a game. That is where I have a problem with a team and coach that does that every single week.

 

It's one thing to score 90 points in one game and win 90-0, but apparently after 7 games this season already this team has ourscored it's opponents by 77 points a game. Now that is a bit excessive, there is a difference between having a good team and putting your 3rd stringers in and still scoring a bunch of points off turnovers or kick returns etc. But it's entirely different when you don't try and slow the scoring down. No one can tell me that the team has put the foot on the brakes at all if they are scoring 77 more points than their opponents every single week. That may be the reason behind the bullying charges. Apparently someone needs to put a stop to that coaches method.

So, after reading the article a parent from Western Hills files an actual bullying complaint against this team for beating the winning team beating them so badly. Here's the problem(s). Problem 1. This parent in a nut case, and I have a very sneaky suspicion that she isn't liked by other parents on the team either. But that's just me. Problem 2. The principle, or whoever this "bullying" form was turned in to, didn't instantly laugh this parent out of the room and rip up the form. That's what should have happened. Problem 3. Obviously Western Hills needs a new offensive AND defensive coordinator. Problem 4. Maybe Western Hills should institute a new school PE policy that might help the kids develop into better athletes. Evidently they can't score OR stop anybody. Maybe a parent from the winning school should file a compliant on Western Hills for incompetence?:idunno: Nahhh, that would be stupid, stuff like that NEVER happens. Except that...oh wait, it did!

I remember a game at Campbell County a few years back where a team was up close to 50 points on the Camels. Opposing team 1st string was still at the beginning of the 4th quarter throwing a couple 40 and 50 yard passes in the air against the Camels. I didn't particularly care for it, but figured they felt the need to work on their long ball. I wonder if the statute of limitations has run out on that, or if I can still get a bullying rap filed them.

They average 69 points per game. Their district games have been won by an average of 77, not all games. I can see that happening as we've all seen some very lopsided districts.

LOL. 69 or 77 points. Does not matter. Still a lot of points. As long as the second or third string is in once the running clock starts, it should not matter. If the third string can rack up another 30+ points, then so be it. If there are starters on the field, I have a totally different perspective. There is no way that anyone should tell a coach not to develop his younger players. Soon they will be the starters and need to play within the scheme that is coached. Otherwise, when the third string becomes the starters, they have no experience in running the offense (other than practice). Seems to be a great way to develop the future of a program to me.

But what happens when you reach the running clock in the first quarter? Your starters need reps too especially getting close to playoffs. You can't just pull them when the running clock starts. They won't be conditioned to play in the fourth quarter when they do start matching up with teams more of their caliber.
