I assume this will be SK's homecoming and a big-time headknocking game. Campbell is better on defense than SK. SK's only big advantage is at running back because both team's QB's are pretty solid and each team has some good receivers. Campbell has a better kicker and that could ultimately decide this important game. I give the edge to Campbell even though SK's season is likely a 10-gamer if they do not protect home turf Friday night.

Holmes gets revenge for last year if they get over the disappointing loss to SK.

Game decided by a FG. Maybe the Reds can break the Rebel hex. Should be a heck of a game.

Next year in NKY 4A will be a bunch of nobodies.

I don't see North or John Hardin's teams this year coming up to NKY and doing what a Trinity could do. To add to the list of close games, I believe it was 1999, Trinity 10, Ryle 7, OT.

Looks about right. Dixie has a chance to upset the apple cart and get the Boone monkey off their backs. Campbell/SK should be a tight game.

Here's my worthless opinion. Beechwood will handle Holy Cross fairly easily. NC will beat HC in the first round of the playoffs. Beechwood will win the rematch with NC. The only way for NC to stay close to Beechwood is to effectively mix the pass and run. (The team I root for has that same problem of not mixing up pass and run effectively so I am not trying to be overly critical of Coach S.) NC scored two short-field TD's due to a Tiger TO and then a poor decision by Coach Rash to go for it on fourth and short inside their own 40 when momentum was all NCC.

IMO, you are correct. Hopefully, this game serves to awaken a team that did not play Friday night at the same level they had played at in 5 other games. Too many mistakes and missed tackles and opportunities.

This is true. The 4A race will be interesting. Boone, Campbell, Dixie and Ryle all believe they can claim the #1 seed. However, only Boone and Dixie control their own destinies at this point. I'm not sure that either will make it through without a loss (obviously only one could possibly do that) and it is likely that a tiebreak scenario will determine the seeds.

Congrats to Shane. Sorry to see the BC's had a bad day. Sounds like turnovers doomed them.

Corey got about 70 yards on the backbreaker when the score was 27-22 Boone. You are correct. He was held in check the rest of the night.

People will start to write off the Raiders but they will bounce back. Hats off to Boone on this night and give them all the credit.

Great job Camels. It's not quite so easy as winning out to claim a #1 seed. They could beat Boone and Dixie and still not get a #1 seed.

Good job by Boone. At least we have an opportunity for redemption. All is not lost except for this one game. It did not look like Ryles' QB is comfortable yet back at QB. He did throw some nice balls and some bad balls. Ryle does need to be less predictable on offense and they will be just fine. They did not play with the same aggression that they have displayed in the 5 other games. One of them nights and a great comeback effort. The Raiders will be OK. Better to have a midseason bad game than an end of season disaster.

Must win for Conner if they have any remaining hopes of playoff glory. So, it might be a decent game for longer than we expect. Good luck to both teams.

Several years back, Boone laid it to Ryle at Ryle. Last year, Ryle laid it to Boone at Ryle. So, the game is sometimes a blowout. Who knows what tonight holds? Good luck to both teams. I'm sure the kids on both sides of the county have worked hard for this game and it will be a playoff-type environment.

A little bit of exaggeration, nees. We only heard this about Ryle last year, certainly not every year since Ryle has just gotten back to being a very good team again these past two seasons. Last year, I don't remember anyone talking about a deep run into the playoffs but rather a NKY 4A district title. This year's Ryle team is much better than the 2005 team that had the same record in district play as Dixie (6-1). For proof that this year's team is superior, we all just have to wait and see if I am right or not. Last year does not matter, but for the record, there was no collapse vs. Fern Creek, just vs. Dixie which included a combination of factors including a great effort by Dixie and poor play by Ryle. I notice that quite a few Dixie supporters on BGP are pretty hung up on talking about last year since it is mentioned regularly. Ryle is hung up on this year. Go Raiders.

I understand where you are coming from but winning is never easy. It takes hard work and team work. That's what I see from the Raiders so I like their chances to succeed this year.

Agreed. Enough about what someone sees as problems within the ranks at Conner. These are young men who work hard and don't need to hear this garbage. As to the game, I don't see where Conner will be able to get more than 7 points but I'm sure the Cougars will play mad after such a bad effort vs. Campbell. Should be an easy win for Dixie.

Don't quote me on this but I think the third round is actually a team from the West visiting the winner of the "NKY Playoff". Then, the fourth round is the winner of the West/NKY game visiting the Central KY winner. Then, the final is the Central/West/NKY survivor vs. one of the Big Three. As far as NKY football, I was impressed with Campbell and believe they have a better chance of claiming a spot than SK. I guess that means I think they will beat SK.

Holmes scored on a kickoff return, a very nice run by #1 and their only bright spot. Holmes had trouble passing the ball (maybe attempted 5 passes??)and it was not really because of the weather because Ryle's passing looked fine. The only time Holmes moved the ball was their #1 vs. Ryle's #2. It was an ugly game for Holmes. Kinda surprised not to hear from any of the Holmes faithful other than fballstud???

SK should win this game fairly easily. I'll say SK by 20 points.
