It will all be put to rest come Thursday nite by 10. I'm one who believes that Ryle has developed into a very good team and will play their tails off in a great 4A championship game pitting two very good teams.

Corey has averaged about 200 yards per game per Dixie playing ONE way. Vince averaged 250 yards per game vs. Dixie playing BOTH ways. I'll take Vince. Corey is a very good running back, too.

If 500 yards in 2 games against your team that was supposed to win the district this year is not enough to convince you, not much I can say would convince you. He ran all over, around and through Dixie. A thing of beauty to be sure.

The Europe thing was facetious. My main point was that the Ryle's boy soccer team believed they could beat a favored T team and everyone else in the state said, "No way". The Ryle football team believes that same thing against the same popular opinion.

If Ryle plays like they did vs. Hendo through 3 quarters (49-7 and then they started pulling starters so the 4th quarter was not a measuring stick), it will be a fabulous game to the surprise of many outside of Union.

Can we ban Diamond Dandy from these Ryle threads? Just like in baseball, many of his comments are an embarassment and do not reflect the views of the great majority of Raider fans. I think that cshs81, who I believe is a CovCath fan, could second this motion. I personally get tired of the exaggerations. Ryle is peaking, Benke and Petrino are both good QB's at running and passing, Ryle is much better at THIS point in the season than most people realize. Kinda like what the Steelers did in the NFL last year. It will be a great game between two very good and well-coached teams. Would not be surprised by either team winning.

It seems that Diamond Dandy is the main culprit of foolishness on this thread and he is a Ryle baseball fan. I would take Vince over Corey Farris any day of the week. Vince is much stronger and just as fast and equally quick moves and better cutting ability. Remember, Corey only plays one way. Play Vince one way and you have a dominating H.S. running back.

I agree that Ryle does pass the ball effectively. Benke throws a very nice ball and is probably completing 60-65% of his passes in the playoffs. He was not sharp the first few games back from injury as he knocked off the rust. I assume you meant the '94 Boone team did not pass period. This Ryle team is very good and have improved dramatically over the year. It will be a great game. I'd like to hear from Ru who has seen T and Ryle up close and personal in the past two weeks. He could give us a very educated comparison since most of us not have seen both teams play recently. I cannot make any comments on T other than like I have said, they are always good.

I agree. It would be a 4-5 TD win for Ryle now over NC. Ryle had no passing threat vs. NC last time. Both teams are much better than they were at the first of September. No way that Mercer would beat Ryle.

Benke is a very good QB, both running and passing, and getting better each week. He has been on target a lot the past 5 weeks. Only two picks all year and probably 15 TD passes.

Vince was first team as a junior in this coaches' poll, but not as a senior? I'll take this second teamer as my first choice if I was putting together a team in Northern Kentucky. He is a better running back than Farris. Remember, he plays both ways and still plays incredible football. Corey only plays one way.

Now, this is an excellent post. I agree with you 100%. I have never seen a Trinity team that was not well prepared and focused. Ryle will be well prepared and focused, too, and both teams have talented players and an excellent team concept. Maybe it's good we don't have to wait until Friday. As to one other posters comments, 2006 Ryle is 5-6 TD's better than the 2004 squad. Rock folks would have to assess whether their 2006 team is better than the 2004 model. I have not seen Trinity play this year and only know they are always good.

I personally do not want the Raiders to have any respect or notoriety before Friday. Again, this will be a very good ball game with two very good teams competing. These teams are evenly matched and Christmas may just come a little early, as in White Christmas and snow in the 'Ville on Thursday night??? Lookin' forward to a game that goes down to the wire to the surprise of so many people. Both teams are quick and physical, neither will fear the other.

Vince Murray not on first team is an absolute joke. He is the player of the year in Northern Kentucky. Hands down!

I question your opinion because you said that Henderson would beat Ryle simply because they were better than Ryle. You obviously have not seen Ryle play. Ryle is FAR superior to Henderson - not even close. This will be a very good game between two very good teams to the surprise of most people outside of Union.

Great job, Raiders. The one player from Hendo was outstanding, but most of his best stuff happened after Ryle was playing lots of 2nd teamers. Way to take care of business.

I think that homefield means 14 points in this game. I see Cov Cath as 28 points better at least. So, a 14 point or better margin for the Blue Colonels is what I see. Trust me, JC has not seen a team near as good as CovCath all year - not even close. Good luck and have a great game.
