I think the Rams come ready to play and win this one. Coach Damron will have his raiders ready, but the Rams are more talented this year. Should be a good game, I hope I can make it.

Slow start by the Rams on offense but got it going midway through first quarter. Defense really dominated the game all night. All the RB's ran the ball well and Mullins, Boyles, Deskins, and Hammond step up in absence of Beach. Overall the rams looked good. Big one next at east.

When talking about Russell or Ashland the other is always brought up..... I guess in week three there will be numerous post on that game. Back to the game at hand. With the pirates beating NCC and Raceland beating the Tomcats, I have to go with the Pirates in a close one. Look for Ashland to be better this week. Good luck to both teams!

I like what I saw from the defense last Friday. There are still things they need to work on, but I am sure the coaches are addressing that. I loved the way they ran to the football.

I think Raceland wins this game, but I agree it may be closer than everyone thinks. Any news out of Ramland on how the players practiced this week??? After that great win at Ashland!!

GodIsATomcat, As for gas prices... Then I am glad Raceland got $4500 from Ashland to come and play the game. The money is nice, but the win was priceless.

Dickie is Dickie, everything is great when the mighty Tomcats are winning. Congrats to the Raceland players, coaches, and community for a great win. I thought the Raceland players looked to be in better condition than the Tomcats. The Raceland staff really had the prepared and ready to play. Good luck to the Tomcats the rest of theseason and my best wishes go out to the Bonner kid.

I really hate it for those guys to miss any games, especially as seniors. Looking for a good game Friday, hope the Rams can hang in there. Good luck to both teams and may all the players get through it healthy.

You are right cvillecat, Raceland has assembled a great coaching staff. I believe I counted 11 coaches at their first scrimmage. They have added two new coaches this year; Caoch Preston who was at Boyd last year and Coach Lewis who was a long time coach at Ironton (over 30 years I heard). You add these two to go with the guys that they brought in last year: TJ Maynard who played at UK and was the all-time winningest coach at Greenup, Gerald Parker who just finished at UK, and Mike Francis who played at Georgetown. Add all these guys to Coach Vanderhoof, Fannin, and Burroughs and you have a very good staff. I think you are seeing the kids respond very well to all of these guys and it has shown in the preseason.

I think Raceland is much improved from last year, but I do not think that they can beat the Tomcats. Look for a better game this year. Raceland will have a good year and this game should help prepare them for it.

Who cares about radio guys???? They do not win games or even affect games. I thought this was about the Tomcats football team.

Greenup really messed up when that let TJ Maynard get away. His teams were always well coached and played hard. I hope that GC can get it turned around this year. They have some good players.
