oldrambler Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 I believe that his was the final. It was the last report I got with approx. 3 min. left. Please correct me someone if this is wrong. The Raceland "Orange Crush" defense played excellent and Raceland ran the ball very well. I was unable to attend so I will wait on other posters for more info.
UKBLUE1964 Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Way to go Rams! Now with the Ashland win over Belfry who beat NCC last week, it is looking like Raceland has a team that can compete against Northern Kentucky schools this year. Keep on winning and Good Luck all year.
oldrambler Posted August 26, 2006 Author Posted August 26, 2006 ^ One game at a time UKBLUE, one game at a time. Things are looking like the Rams are definately back though.
Big Fig Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 They need to webcast these games so us out-of-towners can follow the action....
Incognito Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Raceland's Benji Mullins had a great game tonight, really stepping up to fill the shoes vacated by Beach. He had some great catches, including a single handed one, and several great carries. I always knew Benj could do it! Scott Grizzle had a great game too, along with the O-line. Vanderhoof played the second string most of the second half. Congrats Rams!
Jeepman Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Good game Rams it is nice to see Raceland doing well. I always enjoy seeing a team like Raceland come up big.
oldrambler Posted August 26, 2006 Author Posted August 26, 2006 I also heard that Raceland honored the 96' undefeated team tonight with B.T. Ross in attendance  and a very special honorary assistant Mark Cooper.:thumb: Mark is a VERY special young man along with all of his family to a lot of Old Ramblers.:thumb: :jump:

cvillecat Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Great Team win by the Rams. They came out a little slow but settled in nicely and did several things well. Special teams play was great. The offensive line opened some big holes and the backs did a super job of getting through the holes. The defensive effort was one of the best in a long time. They swarmed to the football and punished the ball carrier all night. Still some things to correct but a great overall effort. Good job Rams.

Great team and a great group of young men. Good to see Bill Tom back on the sidelines in Ram Stadium. Also honored was former Raceland kicker and Ohio State Buckeye Aaron Pettrey.Great atmosphere for a special night. It was a great night to be a RAM.:thumb:

Grizzle did a great job once again of running the offense. The Soph. class has some talented athletes so things look good for the future as well.
Graybeard Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Congratulations to the Rams. You’re on your way to a great season!!
