  1. the Cissell kid is very strong. I don't have all the numbers but know that Randy Morris from Grant Co. Benched 345, Cleaned 250 and Squated 450. that is impressive as well for a running back. He was in the 220 weight class I believe. He is a junior, who I was told could squat over 500 LBS.
  2. Congrats to Carroll and Grant both have had great years. Grant needs to up the competition in order to compete in the region. Coach Richey has brought them to great hieghts in a short period of time, hopefully he will continue to improve on this teams success and take them to the new level.
  3. I would have to say that Fraley from Rose Hill, he has done quite well with the youth he has this year and will continue to have success. I would also say that Russells coach and Elliot Counties coach as well
  4. I must agree with Time2punt, Glazier puts on a great clinic with the ability to take your staff and listen to several speakers at one time. It is truely geared towards coaches learning and getting a lot of info at one time. Nike is good and has channge their format to fit closer to Glazier but still the rooms were no where filled like the ones at Glazier. I have been to both and beleive that Nike is a great place for coaches to get together and have a good time and listen coaching greats like Bobby Bowden and Frank Beamer, but most of us with staffs like to learna nd get better and think that Glazier gives you a better chance to do that.
  5. grant counties' Ethan Conley and Rodney Deno should be a very good group of receivers next year.
  6. Was there a JV game as well last night, if so does anyone have any scores and stats from the JV game.
  7. Bluegrass will-- I notice that one of your pictures is of Mike davis, How did he do in the game and how is he doing this year, he showed a lot of promise last year in the 8th grade. I hear he is doing great at the JV level, was just curious about his development at the varsity level.
  8. I know that Chad and Dakota are two great young guns in that freshman class, what about the other grshman and sophomores, any of them showing promise for the future. I heard that Coach fraley was going to start playing some of them more to get them experience for the tourney time to just spill the stars so they won't be too tired down the stretch. How do these guys look.
  9. they are going to have to replace Smith at QB, he will be missed in their offense next year. They need to continue to work in the weight room and get stronger. With the new district it will be better not having to play highlands and Cov. Cath but South Oldham, Oldham, J-town and Anderson will still be strong for them. They return several on defense from what I understand, they definately need to get better at stopping teams so the offense will not have as much pressure on them with a new QB and RB nest year. I beleive that if they keep working hard and listen to the coaches. they will continue to improve and grow. Good luck to Coach Davis and the Braves nest year
  10. Is he a senior now or will he be a senior next year? Sounds like a great athlete.
  11. Yes I believe it was Stepp's first year and look at what they have done in a short period of time. I think that only good things are to come from Clay Co. they have some young talent in the middle school that will shine as well in the years to come.
  12. First Aaron Stepp is not going anywhere. He is a great coach and will be very good next year in the new district format. he has talent yes but he knows how to coach his kids and get them to do what he wants. He has one of the best QB's in KY and will produce huge numbers in the next 2 years.. As far as weak opponents who don't see the spread is that Aaon's fault or the other teams coach for not preparing his team for the spread offense? I would like to know if some of them plays come from NCAA 200& (HAHA) This is a great coach who gets the most out of his players and yes Rock and Bell is a tough district to be in but he has been competitive through out his tenure at Clay. I don't see Stepp leaving anytime soon.
  13. With the massive number that their young Qb has put up over the last couple of years, what is it about that offense that makes it so special. Is it the Jimmies and the Joes or the great X's and O's that AAron Stepp has brought to the area.I am waiting for a maual on the keys to succes in my system by Aaron Stepp. Let me hear your thoughts
  14. Euton has been playing at Rose Hill long before his mother became the head girls coach. dakota played for sure in the 4th grade and has ever since. By the way, who did good in the JV game, if they won by 10 thry must have had a few kids shine? What was the final score of the JV game?
  15. I would want to know the following: 1. How would you relate footabll to the whole school culture? 2. what is your academic goals for your players? 3. Previous experience? 4. What is your main goal as a head coach for this football team? 5. how do you pick your assistants? 6. What do you think about your ability develop kids and what are your strength's and weaknesses in this area? 7. What is your plan for developing your feeder programs? 8. How do you handle discipline of players for instances that happen on the feld, at school, in the community? 9. Give the coach different character related scenerios and have them respond. 10. Then ask about the general football knowledge questions? 11. Ask them about their family if they have any and how they play a role in their accepting a head coaching job.
  16. I totally agree, these 2 were amazing and both had motors that just wouldn't quit. I feel that both will make nice players at the next level
  17. who all at what positions is returning and give a little of info on each please
  18. Why would he do this? Is he exploring other venues, things just not working out?
  19. Is it true that South Oldham's Nate jones has resigned as the head coach at South and if so who is likely to be his replacement, and why would he leave it looked as if things were going good for him there?
  20. I can say this coach Mills is a good coach with a lot of heart and passion about what he does. He has worked his tail off to improve a program that has not had alot of success, even before he got there. He just didn't have the support he needed to be successful at Berea. I hopr the Berea people understand they just let the man go that really wanted to be there and help turn that program around. Now you have the task of finding someone who would actually want to come in to this mess. I hope the administration knows what they have done and good luck at finding someone to take over, I have heard Coach Mills said he would still work the kids in the weight room until a replacement can be found, I wish Coach Mills the best and hope the kids of Berea can get a coach that is willing to put in the time and effort as coach mills. I know there is a couple of coaches out there that would take coach mills on their staff in a heartbeat, so I look for him to be back on the sidelines soon.
  21. I am just wnadering why if you were awarded Player of the year and coach of the year like dale and Kramer were why were they not on the field to receive their award at halftime of the 3A game?
  22. I think it would be : 1- trinty 2- Mercer 3- Bowling Green 4- Cov. Cath 5- Danville 6- Ryle 7- Russell 8- NCC
  23. It was done to help beat the heat of early August. Basketball may not like it but the welfare of student athletes will come first. Besides if the player is good he will not miss a beat coming in that late. I just hope basketball coaches don't make a bigger push for their athletes to not play football due to this happening.
  24. I will say this about the game, RH is young and not at Mason CO.'s level YET. They are young and need one or two to go with Jackson and Euton, especially anohter ball handler, but give them time and they will be a force and they will compete well in the 16th this year. Also with them adding football to their sports programs you will see more athletes move in their direction in the future. I think it is great to see this program in a short time be able to play the likes of Mason Co and in the KOB tounaments. It wasn't that long ago they were the area's wooping post and everyones senior night and used to loose to Boyd and Ashland worse than they lost to Mason last night. They just have to keep working As far as Bair is concerned, best of luck to him and his unlce, great people period. Who knows with his stature and skills maybe he plays at the next level on the gridiron.
