You are only talking about 12 teams playing in the state finals, I do not think they will be out of shape, and by the way it is only 1 week pushed back from what it is right now. Basketball still gets more days than football

How is it hurting basketball they still get more days of their sport than any other sport in KY. Do the math? No one is trying to hurt the other sports just trying to make sure that football can keep their same playoff format and protect the health of its athletes.

You guys are comparing apples and oranges. Football is not the problem. It is the weather. And the KMA and the KHSAA thought that it would be best to move the start date back. Weather or not it passes, we should take the welfare of the athletes into consideration. Basketball does not have to worry about the heat, but football does. I hope that the powers to be do what is best for the athletes and not for the sake of personal gain.

Let's not forget that the Braves have only had football for a short period od time. Things are building and in due time the braves will be better in district play

I would agree with your statement, the lack of getting in the endzone has been a problem but according to the KY post their offense seems to be moving the ball. I also know that the defense although giving up 55 against Oldham has shown signs of improving. I was told that they only had 1 senior starting on defense agaisnst South Oldham, that must mean that the youth is learning and is showing promise for the future. the only consistent senior starter on that defense has been Scott Sharrock their middle linebacker. I agree that does not equal getting better but I guess I was looking towards the future.

Injury or no injury the Braves are a better football team then Ludlow, no offense intended the Braves are better than they have shown. the offense is clicking, and the youth of the defense is getting better. The QB battle would have been nice if the Ludlow kid would not have got hurt. I will say Grant will win 35- 14. Go get them this FRiday

I can't beleive I WON WITH 13 POINTS

I know birds fan it was not taken personal I was saying that with people I know at highlands I know that they have good facilities

First of all I am glad that highlands has benches, I know that they always provide well for their teams, I happen to know that first hand. I would also like to say that Coach Davis told me he did ask Coach Fisk personally and another coach if they needed anything at all and apologized for the traffic delay. I also saw coach Davis at the end of the game direct his team to line up and shake hands. I am sure that coach Davis would have treated Scott just as he did a month ago had they ask. And he did tell me that they do take tables and such with them just in case. But I would like to say that Scott played a good game and so did the Braves. I beleive that the Braves defense did a great job, I do believe if correct Scott scored 41 against Anderson in regulation. Good game Braves keep it up this week.

Grant worked hard as apparently did Scott, I spoke with Coach Davis this morning and he said that the issue of tables and benches were addressed when he ask the head coach of Scott if they need anything and was told no that they had everything and were ready. He also said that they take their stuff with them when they go on the road. I don't think that lack of having benches or tables changed the outcome of the game. As far as the band Coach Davis has no control ove the band they have almost ran over their own team before so I guess that the issue is with the band director. Great win by Grant and they do have great facilities and they do have great potential for state of the art facilities.

It is a toss up this week. 2 weeks ago I would say Grant hands down but now it will all be how both teams handle last weeks results. Grant coming off of a disappointing loss and Scott coming off of their 1st win. I hope Grant is ready, I beleive it is homecoming, they had better be ready for a fight. I am going to go with Grant in a close one 21-14
