  1. I don't think you are quite right on the whole starters thing. 2 JV lineman started and played the whole second half and I did not see any of Owen guys pulled for PT. I know Grant subbed almost the entire defense in the 4th quarter and that is when Owen had 2 big passes. But on offense they are very thin, they have 3 running backs out and 2 o-line out going into the game. The Freshman and Sophomores did get in at the end but the scoring was no run up 21 in 1st half and 21 in the 2nd.
  2. Final Grant 42- 0 over Owen. Grant had a great game, 450 yards of offense and holding Owen to 29 yards rushing. Great job on both sides of the ball.
  3. 1st- Denny Paul is a fine man and good person who cares about his family and walked into a snake pit at ER. All the talent had left and the politics is always around Pike county because that is all Pike Co. is about. I wish Denny Paul tons of success and Denny Paul was responsible for winning alot of games that is on James Hurleys record at ER. Best of luck DP
  4. That may not have been the right way to say that. Probably should go more like Dayton made plays that Ludlow did not. Not taking anything away from Dayton Coach Lickert has done a great job but when you hold the QB to 51 yards rushing after a 236 yards performance the week before and you out gain Dayton by 87 yards Grant should have won the ball game. But Dayton did better on that night on the scoreboard.
  5. just to give you a heads up Dayton is better but not by much. Grant should have beaten Dayton. But Dayton caught the breaks that Ludlow did not catch against Grant. The playoffs for the 3 and 4 seed should be an interesting one in NKY this year.
  6. I am not sure what Ludlow did or didn't bring on Friday night, but the Grant County team looked very good. they ran the ball well and threw when they had to. Grant held onto the ball just fine. I would have to credit Grant's defense for a job well done forcing turnovers 5 I believe and keeping pressure on the QB. I beleive they knocked him out of the game in the 4th quarter. But Ludlow's gilbert ran the ball nice especially late in the game trying to bring his team back. Ans if ludlow is going to run shot gun they had better find some one who can snap the ball. several blown opportunities blown by bad snaps.
  7. I would have to say that if the arguement was the same for a school who move up and a school who was denied they would have a complaint but I know a lot went into the ability to move up. If you were worried about them leaving a team or district short maybe they should have went with the original plan to not let anyone move up and then no one could cry foul.
  8. Grant is banged up pretty bad. I heard they lost there top defensive player in a scrimmage and lost a corner and linebacker to injuries as well before the first game. Wish them the best. They had better stop the QB from Dayton or it will be a long night. Casey is much improved this year and Grant dug to big of a hole early to get out of last Friday.
  9. Don't be so sure. Casey has got a lot better this year and plus I heard that the injury bug has taken down 3 or 4 two way starters in pre-season play for Grant. The trip and the improvement for Casey might be tough for Grant, but I am going to say Grant in a close one.
  10. what were the results against these teams last year and what do they have returning that has you so confident? Wish you the best
