Grant County is hosting a weightlifting meet on March 22nd and it is the same style as LCA. They will have Bench, squat, and Power clean. I think the dates LCA is looking at rescheduling it to are either April 19th or 26th but nothing definate yet.

I hope they win and I am rooting for them to do so but if they finish their careers any where else but Rose Hill that would be a shame. They have worked so hard and now have a great young supporting cast that they and Elliott could be a great game in the ALL A and the 16th region for years to come and I woudl hate to see them leave just to help improve a certain team that needs little help year in and year out improving.

Can anyone post the times and dates for all these first round games, I must have missed them

Only way BC wins is if they get the help from the men in stripes on their home court. I say the Royals take care of business and advance to the finals

Joey is from Elkhorn City and if he could go back home and coach I am sure he would, but East Ridge is no Franklin Co. He is a home town boy just like Ratliff was and he may be able to get a longer stay than the others. I hope for the kids sake at ER that the administration will keep someone long enough to build something there. The community loves football and the rest of their athletic programs but besides girls softball the asumption is it is a revolving door and that can not build success at any school. I wish the warriors the best of luck and for the kids sake hope that the administration will hire someone that will stay around a while.

Will he be living in the district or commuting from Scott CO. I hear he has a son that is a good ball player, will he be an Eagle or stay where he is?

I would like to see them if the super class was implemented that if you want to move up then you must move to the super class or play in your class you are assigned. I still think you will see the 6 class system and that you will have to play in the class assigned.

If they keep the 6 class system I am hearing that they are going to go back to the orginal plans of everyoe playing where they fall according to enrollment.

Was a fast paced game and the officials were not going to blow the wistle, must have had a hot date. Boone was very impressive, especially form outside and they move quick to the basket. Looked like the boys from the hill were in slow motion in the 1st quarter, hopefully just the long bus trip. They will be fine and now need to fet on focus for district play.

Super job Braves. I was really impressed with the way the braves ran the floor and hit the open man and did not force many shots. Thompson was the man hittng free throws and making great passes. Sean Henry played stellar on both ends and if they keep this up it could mean trouble for the other teams in the district that appear to be struggling as of late.

HD-- 1st of all, we are Owen's biggest rival and I can tell you first hand that you are mistaken about Coach U. He is agreat guy and coach that comes from the old school of coaching. He is a good coach and I believe that he went as far to build a house there. A house he fell off of and broke his legs but still coach in a wheel chair, on crutches,and in his walking boot. He is dedicated and did a good job this year on Coach Lickert's staff. I am not saying he is the right man for Owen, maybe they need new blood but before you get on here and bash him about his football mind and dedication, get to know him on a personal level. He is a great competitor and works hard at his profession. If I heard right, the reason he was let go at Owen last year was because he was demanding upgrades for his program and the administration would not back him on it.

Josh Rump is an unbelieveable kid. He has lead the team in tackles in both his Sophomore and Junior seasons. Not to mention he ranks number 1 in his class academically with a 4.0 GPA. He plays the stack backer in the 3-3 and does a great job. He also has doubled as the Braves pulling guard for the past 2 years. He is 6'1 and 205, runs a 4.8 forty and he also is being looked at by other schools. The braves have a good junior class that has received a lot of attention. Joe Soden also was schedule to make a visit to the Michigan v. Notre Dame game but had something come up that kept him from going. These two and about 3 other are being looked at by several in state and out of state schools. Good luck to these young men in the coming year

Alex needed a good game. He just lacks confidence. He is a great player and I hope he and Gambill can add to the success that Barber and Davis have experienced over the past month. If those two get going along with Davis and Barber to add to Euton and Jackson they could be dangerous come tournament time. Also lets not forget the two most pestiest defenders in the region, Arthur and Bush. Keep it up and glad to see a nice bounce back this week after a great week in Richmond.

good luck to the Royals, don't underestimate the Eagles and take it to them like you have been doing as of late. When you get ahead, go for the throat and leave no doubt. I think the Royals need to get that killer instinct and put teams away for good. We do not need to let up down the stretch. you will have to play good every night in order to be successful in tournament play. Best of luck and good luck # 44 I will be rooting for you from a far.

Great tournament, they showed a highlight reel at the end of the championship game on TV, does anyone know where you can get highlights of the games or copies of the games. I would love to see the Rose Hill games?

It has taken all weekend to get over the tough loss and post. Really just have not been near a computer. Great game with all the drama of March Madness. I hate it for the boys from Rose Hill, but keep your heads up, you represented the 16th region well. I know it will only help this young team in the long run, but it was still tough to watch. As a parent and coach I felt for the boys as the seconds ticked away in overtime. I will have to say great job Hazard for not ever giving up or giving in when you had so many chances to do so. That is an attribute to your character and the coaches around you. As for the game I knew it was bad when Jackson picked up his 4th foul and had to sit. RH had trouble handling the ball when he went out. I still am not a fan of slowing down the game when we ran them out of the gym in the 3rd quater but all teams do it and Rh is just going to have to get better at it, RH needs to learn how to play with a lead and that will ocme with age. Very proud of the indivdual efforts of our kids at RH. Euton big night, Jackson was big all weekend (congrats on the all tournament selection) and is the grease that turns the wheel, Davis stepped up and grew up this weekend and if they make it to Sunday would have been an all tournament selection, which he still played like an all tournament player( I am nor being biased if you want to think that by my avatoar), he played superb. Barber hit big shots and Arthur was unbelieveable on defense, and the wearing of #50 might have been one of the most classiest things I have seen from a high school player in years. Don't hang your heads royals, keep up the good work, build off of the success of this week and take it to the next level down the stretch.
