  1. Does anyone know the outcome of this evenly matched game?
  2. The cupboard at Lone Oak isn't exactly bare. Granted Calloway has played a tougher schedule thus far than Lone Oak, they could easily have been 0-2 at this point. We will get an answer in 2 weeks. I'll go out on a limb & say Lone Oak will beat Calloway by 10 points.
  3. Don't see Calloway Co or Warren East above Lone Oak at this point in the season. Waren East got thumped by Fort Campbell. Lone Oak beat Calloway twice last season & will square off with them in 2 weeks. Also, I think Hopkins Co Central should be in the top 10.
  4. I also have never heard of cutting anyone (especially a senior) in football. I have seen some instances where a player lack the physical ability (size) to play football & the coach allowed him/her to continue to be part of the program as a manager. Another point, if you have a senior & soph that are equal than you play the soph & get the senior playing time when you can.
  5. I agree that Hopkinsville is a better team than Lone Oak & they should be since they are a 5A school with bigger numbers. However, until Lone Oak is beaten by Calloway Co or Hopkins Co Central, I have a problem ranking them higher than Lone Oak. I don't see the Flash losing to either team at home. We will find out soon.
  6. Bowling Green Owensboro Christian Co Hopkinsville Daviess Co Lone Oak Marshall Co Hopkins Co Central Calloway Co Franklin-Simpson
  7. I totally agree. The only wins that count take place on Friday nights.
  8. Marshall County Todd Co Central Owensboro Madisonville Monroe Co Marshall County
  9. Owensboro Male Boyle County So Laurel Newport Cent Cath Henderson Co Lynn Camp John Hardin Franklin-Simpson Clay Co 53
  10. Critt ran out of gas in the 2nd half & Lone oak was able to wear them down. Key turning point in the 1st half when LO recovered a fumbled kickoff return & scored late to make it a 2TD halftime advantage. Critt could have had the ball but elected to have LO kick it again (bad decision coaching staff).

  18. Lone Oak should be faster & stronger this year on the defensive side of the ball. On offense, the line should be solid & running game will improve. I think Lone Oak will put up a lot of points again this year.
  19. AA- Murray could surprise a lot of teams this year under the leadership of Coach Duncan AAAA- Lone Oak (#14 BGP) has an excellent chance of going deep into the playoffs. I think they will run the table during the regular season since they host both Hopkins Co Central & Calloway Co.
  20. Two starting offensive lineman return for the Flash. The line should be mush better this year. It was a problem last year once the Flash got deep in the playoffs. Robinson had to scramble alot against No Bullitt & Warren East. The line couldn't block Lexington Catholic & Robinson & Co had no chance.
  21. Exact same schedule as last year with the exception of playing Crittenden Co instead of Caldwell Co at the Trice Hughes Bowl.
  22. Lone Oak coming back to reality this year ??? I wouldn't be surprised if Lone Oak ran the table again during the regular season. Especially, since they host both Hopkins Co Central & Calloway County. Lone Oak defense should be downright Nasty this year & the offense will be high octane. The cupboard isn't bare. Look for the Oakers to go deep in the playoffs!
  23. Lone Oak will have Calloway's number. You can bank on it !
  24. Trigg Co is Class 2A & has experienced trouble getting past OC & most recently Fort Campbell since the turn of the century, In the 1990's, they had about a 35% Winning Percentage.
  25. Trigg County is always near the top in powerlifting & also usually very competitive in track. I wonder how come they haven't won a state championship in football since the early 70's. It looks like power plus speed should win a state championship in football.
