Elliott does only dress 10 varsity kids, but when your up 40-50 pts. starting the 4th qtr. playing 2 or 3 starters most of the 4th sends the wrong message. Elliott does this every game thus the blowouts.

Maybe not Christian Co. is winless on the season.

At least 3 starters left in for most of the 4th qtr. against West Carter in a 49pt. blowout, at least you dont skirttail around the issue. I could really care less to be honest with you. Anyway we wont be the only ones gettin our face rubbed in it. I made a statement earlier that the only team that could beat Elliott was Elliott in this region. I dont speak for Roger and he has been around long enough for people to know he is not a classless act. Answer me one question if you want to call someone out for being classless, was 1 or both of the faulkners on the floor in the 4th qtr. of the West Carter blowout?

No not what Im talking about at all......Its got more to do with all the lopsided games this year 40 and 50pt blowouts and starters still on the floor in the 4th qtr. These reports are coming from people I have spoken with that have been to the games and Elliott fans on here. This is hearsay and I hope is not true. I know they have been using the excuse that they only dress 10 varsity players but if they had a JV team that was good enough to have a 30 pt lead in a game entering the 4th qtr. last year then they have kids (3 or 4) that are good enough to play the 4th. qtr. of a 50pt. blowout.

I understand, its all what ifs and could ifs anyway it doesnt really matter. Its hard to appriacate how good any player is unless you watch them every nite. And I didnt mean to imply Elliott doesnt have nice players they obviously do, and they are a fun TEAM to watch. But Ill still take Selby.....(if I dont have to feed him)

His avg. is about 15-15 now and is double and triple teamed every nite, if he was played straight up man to man and was afforded all the extra possions and touches he would get, I could only imagine what his #s would be.

Agreed, Boyds young guards are not ready for this type of pressure yet. And I hope they remember this is Roger not Phil coaching if it turns into a rout, I wouldnt want to be a starter on the floor in the 4th qtr. in a 40pt. blowout or it could end ugly for both teams.

Selby will have his double-double thats a given, it might be 12 and 12, but he will get it, he wont be a factor in the game because of the margin Elliott should win by. Granted Selby hasnt had his most impressive games vs Elliott, but its because of the speed the game is played at. While this might sound like he cant get up and down the floor thats not the case at all he does extremely well for a guy weighing 300lbs. But consider the fact most of the time he will be on the floor with 9 guards. Believe me when I say Elliott can not stop Selby, but he will not get enough touches in this game to put up huge numbers. If Selby played for Elliott he might avg. 20 and 20. And would probably be their best player.

I assume Indiana pulled the offer to sign him.

I would say they are a little bit ahead of where I thought they would be at this time. With 45 sec. to play they were down 4 and had the ball and lost it without getting a shot on a moving screen call. They could have won this game, and probably should have. Two things are for sure about Boyd, Zornes is gonna have them playing defense, and nobody in this region should out rebound them so if they cut down the turnovers, they are gonna have a chance. So if they are ranked 5th or 6th thats about where they should be.

First let me say I think Elliott has a great team that has worked hard to be as good as they are, and there is not a team more deserving of everything coming there way right now.But they need to sub with JV kids in a 40-50pt. game, if for nothing else to prevent an injury. The only team that can beat Elliott this year is Elliott.

This brilliant strategy as you put it seemed to work fine in the district tourny last year, all Im saying is the kid needs to find a jump shot to be a really nice player. :thumb:

Jackson is a nice player but he couldnt fall down on the beach and hit sand from 15ft.
