Well this year they just didn't have a line to work with. They also seemed a little undisciplined and had a few injuries that kept a few key players from shining. As far as the late 90's... We just haven't ran upon any athletes such as the Depps, Huffmans, etc... I wouldn't count them out in the future though. Everyone has down periods. I expect Glasgow to recover.

I couldn't be anymore happier for Tim Phillips! To go what he has been through and still be thankful and happy... He's truly a remarkable and amazing person. I wish only the best of luck to him and his teammates in the future.

I think the Highlands administration will pull the cannon. I know many Highlands fans are appalled to the thought... And thats understandable. You don't want to get rid of a tradition due to an accident. And I'm sure the injured party would probably agree to keep the canon (Not sure though). But legalities outway tradition nowdays. Leatherneck would probably be the man to ask as far as legalities go... But IMO I think the cannon will be out the door come next footballs season.

:lol: Thats about right... He got the Breds players to run into each other. No shame in that though... I can't think of anyone that could've stopped him on a few of those runs (esp. the last TD). Again... Great game by both teams! This was by far, IMO the best game of the finals.

I think De La Salle and a few of the California schools do the mythical national championship thing. I believe they do it because California doesn't have actual playoffs. I could be totally wrong, but I think I remember hearing that.

How about we just move them down to 5A, 4A, 3A, etc...? Either way they'd still play each other in the end (when on opposite sides of the bracket). I don't see any point in arguing about them.

Maybe given all they wanted was too much... But they were given more then they wanted. Where as the Louisville teams were pretty much untouched... Which was the point I was getting at.

I'm not Trinity Alum at all. I just reconigze a great program when I see one. I also reconigze a simple "thankful" thread that has been hijacked by those who are a tad bit jealous. I am simply defending CentreRocks because I don't think he's done nothing wrong at all.

I don't believe his post was directed to insult other teams. It was meant for the Trinity faithful to be thankful and never forget what they've got.

With all do respect... Hazard and Christian County gave Beechwood and Highlands all they wanted. Central and Trinity were pretty much untouched.
