I know that Rose Hill has a great team, and for all anyone knows they are the number one team in the region, but with what Elliott Co has coming back off a quarterfinals apperance in the state tournament, plus the developement of Timmy Knipp, they should be number one until someone takes that away from them. Thats just my opinion.

Any word on the Rose Hill/Mason County game?

Elliott County beat Georgetown, OH in the Jack Fultz Classic 89-43. Jonathon Ferguson led EC with 29 points. He added 5 rebounds. Ethan Faulkner scored 19 points to go along with 4 assist. Evan Faulkner had 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assist. Tyler Maynard also reached double figures with 12 points. Any other panaroma results?

Central is not very good this year.

I watched Elliott beat Morgan last year at Morgan by close to 40. Doubt that means anything, just thought I would point that out.:thumb:

Your right. Elliott County actually handed them thier only loss of the entire season in this very panaroma last year.

What about baseball, golf, swimming, cross country? Alot of Elliott County's basketball players are two-sport athletes.

It was every bit of 35, and like I stated before it was obviously a shot he can hit, but not consistently. Even if he hits it in practice often, its still a different sistutation when your in a game.

I used the word lucky, meaning they had caught alot of breaks when beating EC two of the previous three times(for instance, Vanhoose's bomb at Elliott in the EKC, which is no doubt a shot he can make but not on a consistent basis). I completely agree the game at Russell was never in doubt, but the other two were great games where Elliott County had tons of chances to win and just didnt make the plays in the end.

What happened to Mosely?

Maybe in your opinion Russell would have won, but you couldnt get that by many Elliott COunty fans. You know as well as I do that Elliott County had a great shot at the regional title even if Vanhoose had gotten to play. They gave Russell a huge scare in the regional finals two years ago, even after trailing 16 at halftime. Russell barley got out of Elliott County with a win last season in the EKC tournament, with Vanhoose hitting about a 35 footer with less then 3 seconds to play. They did play again at Russell, and Russell winning by double figures. So to say Russell for sure had the regional title wraped up last season if Vanhoose had not gone down with an injury is a little bit of an overstatement. IMO, Russell had gotten quite lucky 2 of the previous 3 times to get a W aganist Elliott County, and I personally thought there luck could have ran out the next time they met.

Nov. 17 is the Jack Fultz classic. Not sure on all the times but I do know Elliott County will play Gerogetown, OH at 5:00.

Yes, but it isn't a tournament, it's a shootout. One game for each team. I know that Elliott County plays Christain County.

Can anyone give any info on the out of state teams that will be there?

Who have they had? The last two years they have made regional finals apperenaces and a state tournament win in one of those years. They won a district in 2002 and have made All "A" classic apperances in 3 of the last 4 years. Not bad if you ask me. The 2002 team was pretty good but before that the talent level was average or below dating back to before the 1990's.

1. Taylor Stewart -- Improved athleticism, very good summer. IMO no doubt #1. 2. Aaron Morris -- Good size. Can hurt you inside or out. 3. Shelvin Mack -- D-1 talent and now has most of the scoring load with Jones gone. 4. Victor Moses -- Best post in the region. 5. Micheal Sparks -- D-1 commitment, should have a big year. 6. Richie Phares 7. Nathan Novosel 8. Jordan Smart 9. Jordan Lee 10. Dante Stewart

The past has nothing to do with the 62nd being the best district in the region the present year.
