Congrats to Abe, thanks for the memories at PCHS. You will go far, not only on the basketball court, enjoy! -
Congrats to Corey!!! He completely amazed me on the court and such a great person off the court. The Pelle family did a great job with that kid. Keep up the good work on and off the court!

Well deserved, great kid. Good Luck Kane...Pikeville got a winner. -
Congrats to Clark on the 10th region champs. Watching both Knowles and Miller from Mason over the season, knew this would be tough game. Mason will have its chance again next year with their talents. Go Clark, bring home the title...this 10th region fan is behind you all the way!

The best idea I have heard yet, softball whether slow or fast needs to have a fall and spring season, just like the colleges. We get about 3 weeks to practice prior to the season starting in the spring. Would love to have a place to play indoor...I know keep on dreaming....

Channel 12 just reported Robertson Co schools closed rest of the week for illness...

Your Favorite 10th Region Tournament Moment (good or bad)
dirk80 replied to 1996's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Watching Pendleton Co win the region 2 years ago. The Belcher dunks, Elliott manhandling the post, O'Hara 3 pointers, Verax in the paint, Elrod's side shots and Mains handling the top of the court...awesome. To be able to watch my child live through winning a championship just like I did at her age. -
Yes, our assistant basketball coach is the head softball coach, the head basketball coach is the assistant softball coach. Last year, as a parent, I tried holding conditioning for girls that were not involved in any other sport. Was hard to get the girls together in central location, no room at the schools for this. Had to use church building in county. Was going to do this again this year, but could not find facility and outside was just too darned cold!!!

As always, Pendleton is getting late start, try outs start tomorrow, ahhh...we have good talent if we could just get it to work together and not against each other. The juniors this year have been playing together (pretty much) since 5th grade, they need to rely on each other to step up. If all goes well, we could definitely be standing at the end, slight advantage districts are being played at our house...but also have new grass infield, another hurdle to get over...Go Ladycats, you are always #1 in my heart...

Brossart doesn't have what it takes to get past Mason(on a bad night) and Clark doesn't have any worries. Final game will be Mason/Clark...good game too...

Why is it that you love high school football so much?
dirk80 replied to kydlineguy's topic in KY Football (High School)
Being of the other gender, playing football was never a choice. I was raised on the field though, from 2nd grade to watch my brother to my high school days and supporting the guys on the field. Never played, but still have the same feeling every Friday night, the feel of the air at the field, the excitement of watching the team come onto the field to the fight song, the plays, the wins, the losses, etc. To watch a kid make the biggest play of his life brings tears to my eyes. Absolutely hate each year when it comes to an end, Friday nights are never the same without a football game... -
Sounds like attendance in the late 70's at HHS. Proud to know I cheered for most of the 06's dad's down the field...If I had a son, I would definitely have raised him in Ft.T!!!!!

Congrats to the Trains, well done tonight. What games I have seen have been fascinating to watch. What a great group of boys. C Pelle, will hope to catch your next 4 years of basketball. Brossart, you will need some luck at the fieldhouse. I don't think Mason Co can be stopped... -

Agreed, well said...:ylsuper: -
Any other teams have to wait until basketball is completely over to start on softball? Our softball coaches are also the basketball coaches and makes for a late start with softball tryouts and practices. Just wondering.

Totally agree, will truly miss Kane, he is such a great person. Hard to get any points when you are being triple teamed, such a workhorse he is. good luck to the rest of the district, will be tough at the fieldhouse no matter who moves on.
