According to the courier journal, Desales coach Lance Hammond is out. AD said it was time for a new direction. Hammond was the KABC 6th region coach of the year last year. however, in his three seasons there Desales never made it to the regional tournament

Butler will be the hands down favorite to win the 6th region next year. However, rumors are circulating that their coach was forced to resign due to problems from a trip during the season. Interesting to see who gets the job.

Not going to Memphis for nationals. Already went to memphis for one tournament. I think expenses has something to do with it. Are only scheduled to play in Indianapolis in May right now. Will be playing at Mid america and Lexington later in the year

Dont have a roster. I was told that 4 kids are from Bardstown the rest are from louisville. 2 are grade exemptions and 2 are 6th graders. The rest are 7th graders.

Not sure. Their coach had an older team playing in the Eddie Ford Grass Roots tournament the same time as state. They have went out of town on several occasions so not sure what they are really focusing on. They have some talent and have been playing together for three years.

Ky Gators just defeated the Louisville Legends 69-63 in the finals of the Hoops Backboard Breaker tournament. Gators were up 18 at the half. Gators were missing two player who are playing up with the Louisville rising stars at state.

Can you provide some information on how much Money Coach Crum has helped UofL Fundraise? Before I questioned his salary I would wont to have some info on what he does. From what I understand coach Crum never turns down anthing that involves helping the University of louisville. If it hadnt been for Coach Crum and the basketball program during his time UofL athletics would have been bankrupt.

Brown & Morris both played small forward in Fairdale's System. However, both handled the ball as Fairdale pushed it up the floor. Morris led the team in assist. Carlos played the two guard in Fairdale's high post offense. Tony Wheat ran the the point in 90 and Jeff thompson ran the point in 91. In this thread Fairdale's Wheat and Turner were solid.

That could be a problem. The KABC all star game is made up of the two top vote getters from each region. Only the regional player of the year gets an automatic invite.

90-91 Fairdale teams with Brown, Morris, and Turner. Last team to go back to back. Also had two Freshman on the Team: Rashawn Morris(94 Sweet 16 MVP) and Tony Wales who led Fairdale to the 94 title.

I was at the State tournament when BG was there and saw him and Richie Farmer talking and laughing on several occasions. Saw BG talking to Richies kids.

Ky Gators are playing in Memphis next weekend and wont be playing in the Battle of the borders. Gators lost to Indy Spiece in Bloomington last weekend. They are really good if it is the same team. They can shoot the lights out.

Parents were interviewed last night on the news and were defending him as a great coach. Be awfully hard for AAU organization to conduct background checks on all the AAU teams out there. There are so many teams in each age group. Not to mention how coaches change throughout the year. I think its the responsibility of parents to research the coach and the program. It was pretty widely known that he was involved in the point shaving scandal at Northwestern. That alone should have been enough for me not to let my son play for him.
