I would go to Memphis a basketball school before Georgia or LSU. Those two jobs are career enders like several other SEC jobs.

Beth Haven is really down this year. Normally they compete and Coach Morgan does a good job. Fairdale had 27 steals and 21 assist. When they share the ball like that they are good. All 5 starters can score. Need to develop some depth. Fairdale played everyone last night and their starters sat the 4th qt. Actually Beth Haven did better when Fairdale pressed. In the second half They played half ct man and some zone and Beth Haven only scored 2 points. The 35 pt mercy rule with the running clock was beneficial last night.

What happened will Cal and Antiqua? Im sure its no big deal but I read that Cal slapped his assistants hand down in frustration.

That will definitely help the panthers. I knew they had one playing football just wasnt sure which one. Great game and atmosphere at Valley's new gym. It was hot in there. Has potential to become a great venue for big games.

The only one that I know of is Sawyer and he played sgnificant minutes. Butler is not big size wise but they are strong, physical, and athletic. I thought that wore PRP down especially in the press. PRP didnt seem to have a go to guy down the stretch. Harris posted and had a couple good looks but looks limited down there. Wants to go to his right for a jump hook type shot and Butler did a good job pushing him out. Butler had McReynolds to go to. He took over and knocked down some huge 3's.

Butler rallies from a 15 pt deficit in the second half to defeat PRP in OT. Sr Demetrius McReynolds led Butler with 21 pts including several big time 3's to lead the come back. Butler turned the tables on PRP with full ct pressure. I was surprised that PRP would struggle against the press. Butler has had a great week playing the top two ranked teams in the region in back to back games.

Fairdale jumped out to a 27-11 1st qt lead and it was really never close from that point on leading 44-22 at the half. UofL beat both teams they were tied for and earned the BCS Bid. I think its pretty safe to say that UofL With what they have coming back will be the BigEast Favorite again next year if they are not allowed to leave the ACC.

Didnt Coach Jones take over the Cincy program after a Sugar Bowl trip? Coach Strong took over a program at UofL that had not been to a bowl in 3 years. 3 years later UofL has caught and passed Cincy. Also didnt Tenn beat Cincy last year 45-23 that was coached by Dooley. Good luck to Coach Jones.

Never said Louisville was a national contender just dont think its a better place for Strong. UofL is in a BCS bowl for the second time. So its possible whether they are deserving or not. The ACC is a better conference not a great one. Isnt the BCS going to four team playoff next year? UT hasnt had a winning season since 08 and Kiffen left after one year and now they have fired their coach after 3 seasons. If Charlie dont win there quickly he will be gone to. How many African American head coaches have there been in the SEC? I can think of Two. Both were fired very quickly when they didnt win soon.

Why are they better? Fan base that has unrealistic expectations. Jurich will match the money. Auburn has to cheat to win and fires their coach as soon as they lose. UT has fired/forced out Majors(Heisman winner at school), fired Fulmer(Won a ntaional title) and just fired antoher coach. Arkansas has never been on the same level as Bama and never will. Expectations are crazy at those schools and coaches are on a short leash and so will strong.

The only job I would leave for in the SEC is Georgia, Florida, Alabama, or LSU. None are open. As long as Nick Saben is at Alabama he is going to consistently dominate Arkansas and Auburn. When is the last time Arkansas played in the Sec title game? Auburn is win at all cost school and when you dont you get fired. Chizek won a national title 3 short years ago. How many coaches has UT had in the past 5 years. Steve Spurrier has not duplicated his success at FL at South Carolina. Lets be honest. Charlie would be on a short string at those schools. Those jobs have no security at all. Heck Georgia has even wanted to fire Richt the last 3 years

Thats the problem coaches have to deal with especially the good teams. Dont the varsity kids deserve to play also. You have freshman and JV games for the younger kids. Varsity kids work hard each practice to play also. I actually think coaches will sub more knowing that its a running clock.

I would not have a problem with less teams making the post season. I think you should have to earn it. However it should be against your level. The all A classic is successful and well attended because those schools have a chance. Pretty hard for a school of 200 to beat PRP or Eastern here in Louisville when they have over 2,000 students. So in the current set up I have no problem with every team going to post season and a running clock at 35 point deficit is appropriate

As Long as you dont have a class system then yes all teams in basketball should go to the post season. Im not advocating for a class system at all, but Im sure schools would win more games and be more competitive playing against schools their size. As far as the running clock, football in Ky has it. I think its good and bad. It doesnt give coaches much time to play younger players. Running clocks go fast. Its good cause it gets the game over and some coaches wont sub. By the way Florida has had this rule for years.

Maybe UNC's Research committee should review their no show classes for Athletes:p

Happy for my Cards but with the craziness of realignment I think it could be a short term gain. I've heard its a possibility for Clemson, Ga Tech, and FSU to join SEC. I feel the ACC could become like the Big East with other conferences taking their schools. Wonder how WV is feeling now? Having to travel all the way to the Big 12 Schools with no rivalries. Would they have been invited to ACC if they were still in Big East? For the record I hate that the Big East is breaking apart in basketball. Best Basketball conference ever. In my opinion the Big East helped build ESPN in to the empire it is with all those great rivalry games and Big Monday. Now most people feel ESPN is the reason for its demise.

He may not have handled it right or should have waited til after he played, But as a UK graduate I think he has the right to say whats on his mind. He was one of the unforgetables and obviously is proud and appreciative of his UK experience. Should have addressed it privately with Coach Cal. With today's one and done most could careless about the past. Heck Coach Cal promotes it with the way he recruits. Come to UK play for a national championship and pick out what you will wear on draft day. That is not gonna promote an appreciation of the history of UK basketball. Not sure it even matters to most fans but it obviously does some former players. Be interesting to see How Sean is treated by BBN after making these comments.

North Bullitt and Bullitt Central declined their invites due to competitiveness. They dont want to play in LIT. Not sure they should get an invite anyway because they dont play all the teams in the region. They pick and choose 6th region teams they will play. I think East would play in it every year. I dont really blame them for going to the Bass pro shop tournament when you have the team they have. All expenses will be paid for. The LIT is hard for schools to determine how many games to play. You can play 30 games so teams have to schedule based on how many games they think they can play in LIT. From what I hear East is the only school that dont like being in the 6th region. Kinda funny since they could very easily win it for the 3rd year in a row. The other Bullitt Co. schools hate East and are glad they are not in the same district with them.

Congrats to Austin! Will be keeping up with him this year. He should have a great year.

Got to love basketball in this state especially in Jeff. Co. I'm beginning to think there is no rules regarding transfers.
