The QB at Hills could be the difference maker. If he has a good year, then they could go far in the playoffs.

But you did not post that he was a good coach a year ago, you posted that he was a good coach in February when people were talking about the Harrison County team for next year. The point is, in less than a month your coach went from being a good coach to being a coach you dislike who has no personality? :confused:

Thunder you posted the following post when the question was asked earlier about the 2009 Harrison County team. "If he was pleased, he wouldn't be looking for a New COACHING JOB. If you know him then you need to ask if it is true. This is not good for the kid's because they are hearing it around the town. Aaorn Stepp is a good Coach." Did the coach taking another job make you change your mind ? How does he go from being a good coach to now being someone you dislike?

Is this the same Scenters and Pointer who have applied for several jobs throughout the state? Is it possible that the Garrard County job has become an also ran job? I would have thought that this job would have attracted the attention of several "established" Head coaches. This is all very interesting.

Hope Cobb likes Somerset because he will never get another job offer. Cobb better plan on retiring at Florida - sorry, I mean Somerset.

Great hire for Henderson. They made a wise choice. Somerset will miss Coach Cobb but I have to think that the folks at Henderson are feeling very good about the quality hire that they have made. What will Somerset do this late in the year ? The football season is only a few weeks away.

Why was Clay Counties quarterback there ? He is only going to be a junior. It is possible for juniors to go to these camps ?

Blair / Schmare-------- Clay is awful when it comes to defense. They could score on anybody but until they stop someone, they will be average at best. Whitley, North, or Letcher will win that district and my money is on Letcher.

Hire an interim coach and re-open the job next year. You will get a few quality applicants especially if you can add MORE money.

How is Somerset a tough job ? Pay ? Talent ? Schedule ? No basis for them being on the tough job list.

Matney will make sure that the eagles are flying high again in 07. When you talk about coaches in the mountains, Matney towers over his peers. The eagles will be in the state finals this year, you can mark that down. With a back like they have and a coach like they have, how can they be denied ? Eagles will be 15 - 0 or 14 - 1 , just depend on how many breaks they can get in the finals.

If You want Matney, you'd better have a blank check. Central has given him the moon and they are currently in negotiations to obtain the stars. Matney will not leave JCHS for any job other than one. Should not take very long to figure out which job that one is.
