Depends on the level of play of the Summer ball team. Many of the SWOL teams in the american league are not as good as the freshman level. If you are talking about a National league team, especially one like the Flames or Midland then they would be better off playing for them and waiting till high school to play freshman ball.

Someone told me at the end of the freshman season Anderson was invited to continue practicing and working out with the varsity but he decided to begin basketball. Not sure that this necessarily means anything other than where his interest may be.

Wow, I haven't been to a ton of stadiums outside of NKY but I don't recall one that has ever had a video screen. This is nice.

I am not buying the cynicism. X still scheduled Colerain despite the fact that Colerain beat X not once, but twice last season including an absolute beat down in the playoffs. As for comments made by another poster about trying to get NKY 6A schools to schedule them. That's a great idea however it's not going to happen. NKY 6A schools usually avoid playing HHS so the odds they will be open to play X is slim and none.

I don't think that X was trying to "avoid" Trinity or guarantee a win. All truth be told they played them as tough as anyone this year except for Moeller and had the opportunities to win. Plus Trinity will be down this year. More than anything I think it was a chance to X to play some new teams like Ben Davis and Brentwood Academy. If you take a look at the schedule X plays I don't think they need to prove anything to anyone.

equitable officiating makes a big difference compared to the joke that occurred on the hill a few weeks ago.
