I've got the same top 3 as you and 2 cents as well. BG's kicking game is scary bad. Think that would come into play in a close game which would be the case playing Trinity or Highlands. 4 through 15 I have no clue.

Talked to a buddy of mine who is a X grad. He said parking is so bad he had to park in a city park until he was a senior. Only enough room for seniors to park on campus. May just sit in my car and catch the game via radio.

Just found out I'll be in Louisville tomorrow but won't be able to make it to the game until kickoff or early first quarter. Never been to a game at X. Will parking be a nightmare or any suggestions for parking for late arriving fans?. Thanks. I'm thinking 28 -24 St.X over BG.

While they unfortunately won't meet on the field this year or anytime soon, the purples and birds have one common opponent and most likely two more in Lex Cath and John Hardin. Being a Highlands fan living in Purpleville, I will concede that BG may be as good or better this year if they can defeat the same teams the Birds play in a more convincing fashion. I'm fortunate enough to get to see both teams play several times a year. While I tend to believe HHS has been the better team the past 2 years, I'm not naive enough to think the Purples couldn't beat the birds on a given night. I tend to look at as HHS would win 7 of 10 two years ago on a neutral field and maybe 8 of 10 last year . This year too early to tell. The biggest difference I see between the two programs right now is depth. Yes, both teams platoon and rarely if ever have a kid play both sides of the ball. BG has had very few significant injuries over the past few years. Hopefully their health continues but god forbid an injury to Fant, Hayes or a few O-line guys, BG may struggle against the better teams they are playing this year. Saturday, HHS had 2 starting corners out, and Seth Hope, their best D-lineman goes down in the first series and a backup comes in and plays the game of his life. Didn't even notice Hopes absence until the fourth quarter. Over the past years they've lost starting backs, Qbs and key defensive players and someone steps up and the team doesn't miss a beat. Just an observation from a high school football fan that doesn't know as much as he thinks he does.

Turned on Ihigh today and saw Mr. Bolden for the first time. Very impressive sophomore but I have to say I'd take Dicky at this point, Hard to say how much better Bolden will be with 2 more years. Seems like he always wants to go left where Dicky could go left, right , forward and backwards from about age 8. I was 11th man on the junior varsity team you mentioned and for life me can't remember a Blasingame. Starting five were Beal, walton, and Davis from Holmes. David Bedford from Newport and Rich Dees from Highlands. Vaguely remember a Mcgurn, Uehlien, and Wrobleski as well. Having had the fun of guarding or more like chasing Beal as a senior, after one viewing of Bolden today, I'd rather chase him even at age 51. Maybe if Dicky was a young 17, guess he could of played junior pro another year with a Blasingame playing on that team?

very solid, all 5 or 6 of them. Warren Central plays 10 to 11 with liberal substitutions and very little drop in quality. Not a lot of size but very quick and athletic.

While I hope for a easy HHS win. I just can't get over how badly Collins beat Warren East. Warren East had a very good team this year. Collins just has to be that much better. Not sure how even HHS fans are so sure of such an easy victory.

Not sure why beating BG while being a very impressive win would have any bearing on who is better between Cooper and HHS. Lex Cath is the only common opponent between HHS and BG. BG beats Catholic with game a one possession game until late in the 4th. HHS beats Catholic 61-28 and think the game was mostly over at half. Maybe if Cooper had a chance to play Lex Cath and beat them soundly you could justify Cooper being the best in NKY. I hope Cooper and HHS both win and really don't care who thinks who is best in NKY. I just selfishly like thinking and proving NKY plays really strong football in as many classes as possible.

Really expected to see East in finals next week. Not over yet but the trend doesn't look good for the Raiders.

Just a few years ago one brother played for BG's basketball team and his brother and room mate played for Warren Central. Both were very good players and contributed to a large degree to each teams success. Thought how in the heck do two brothers sleep in the same room but play for a bitter rival! Don't know which brother was out of district. Lol!

Agree completely.New there were Lone Oak purlpes and Campell Co purples. Didn't know about Somerset and SOuthwestern. Could include Male as well. Heck Male and BG colors and traditions are nearly identical to the point of colors and the "H" thing. Sorry if I jumped to conclusions.

I'm assuming your a purple of the bghs variety. Having lived in Ft. Thomas about 60 percent of my life and Bowling Green the last 40 percent, I always get tickled hearing about all the kids from Ohio and other Northern Ky counties playing for the Birds. Even heard we're a private Catholic school. I know for a fact the Warren County school system attempted to determine the number of out of district kids playing for the Purples in various sports. Football was somewhere in the 35 percent area and some sports like baseball and soccer were close to 50 percent out of district. This didn't include parents that use business addresses and rental property addresses for in district enrollment purposes so the numbers are probably even higher. Granted Warren County is expanding rapidly and the Bowling Green City School district is land locked and needs out of district school kids to fill it's enrollment but I feel very comfortable in saying Bowling Green Football benefits from out of district kids to a much greater extent than the Birds by a factor of about 6 to 7 to 1.
