No upset tonight. Gallatins got their minds set like they did against shelby. Gallatin comes out with an easy win and rests their top players in the 4th.

Very hard fought game by both teams. I'm Very pleased with how the Cats played tonight.

IMO, The wildcats are not playing with the same game intensity and play execution, as they played during the Gallatin Steel turnament and in Phoenix. lets hope the coaching staff can help them get back on track and be ready for Saturday Night.

Henson and Carlton both did not start the Henry and Owen games and got very few minutes. Both have been starting ever since, but different players could start now for Gallatin and we still have the advantage because of the bench. Sometimes I think it takes a few games to see who matches up the best.

I asked,"what did I write that would have gotten these responses from you and wildcat legend"? and a smart boy told me that I should not have underlined the word coaches, because the players lost the game. I in no way meant to insult any coach or player, and I think you guys know me better than that. This being said, this is the last post I will write on bluegrass preps.

It is in my nature to be optomistic. I think it is great that Gallatin has such a deep bench, I am not sure what baffles you, Now I am confused.

I needed a few days to think about this game before posting any comments. When the head coach and sons lose a family member the day of the Williamstown game and continue to coach and play, and then come to play away at Henry County the day after the services, My heart goes out to them. I feel this had an impact on both games and you could see it in the coaching and playing of the team. This being said, the same five players have started every game so far this year, with three hard nose players chopping at the bit to get their starting spots back from last year. When the coach, at practice, calls out for the top five, 9 players should walk out on the court. Perkins,Giles,Davis,Henson,Brown,Carrolton,Mattox,Jones,Jones. IMO, starting different players, depending on who we play, each game, will continue to keep all the players working hard to get a starting spot. Isn't this every coach's dream. I believe gallatin will come back strong from this loss and every player and coach will work hard to make it happen. GO! Wildcats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought 30 for Gallatin played very well that night. When 22 went out for foul trouble early, he stepped in and played solid for the balance of the half. In fact, he scored double digits for the game. From my perception, he dominated the the inside game in teh first quarter, which kept Gallatin in the game the first half.

The girl wasn't holding up both of her middle fingers up in the air! It was a cheer we do for the player shooting the free throw. "Come on Cody, make our wish, all we want to hear is (clap, clap) Swish!"Then they put their hands up in the air,like they are shooting. Our student body would not do something like that and our administrators would not tolorate that. The student would be thrown out of the gym. Please know your facts before commenting on your perception.:sssh:

who does walton have that can match up with gallatins top 8??? Daughtery you can throw in the mix but i dont see anyone else on WV that can stop the Gallatin starters and their bench.

The reason why High Schools are putting them in are because if they get a college game scheduled, the college teams will have them. They do not put them up there for high school teams or for show.

There are few people that know what really happened. They are the family, players, coaches, and the higher-ups of the khsaa. And i belive it is going to stay that way.

I was a freshman at the time of the explosion and a former athlete at Simon Kenton. Sure does bring back all of the emotions of tragedy and triumph. Just the fact that the students had to attend school at night, at Scott High, and practice before school, Make it to Rump and WIN! Would be a great movie! Hope it happens! Congrats to Eric for bringing the story to print for others to read and know more about.

Davis-Gallatin Henson-Gallatin Carlton-Gallatin Brown-Gallatin Football has made these boys tougher, stronger, & faster. Watch out!

We think the boys from GC will be strong the next 3 - 4 seasons to come. Perhaps then some of these bigger schools will not want to play them so eagerly.

Congrats to Gallatin Co. on your Championship win. All tournament team honors go to Junior Josh Giles, Sophomore David Henson, Freshman Trent Maddox, and Senior Justin Davis.

MO-"Not alot of talent", "Minimal amount of Talent". This young team were 63 and 6 from 7th through freshman year, not coached by Mr. Jones. They did not hide from anyone, they took on anyone that would play them, including the Shelby's and the Oldham's. As well as beating Carroll County with Eugene Wade. Coach Jones knew the talent he had in this young team when they were 7th graders. He hired the right coaches and put them in the best camps. I rarely post any threads and usually only read them. I have to remind myself from time to time, that you guys are only fans of other teams posting your opinions, not your expert wisdom. Statistic show, there is alot of talent on the Gallatin County Team!
