Gallatin Co. 64 Eminence 38

I'm back! Stuck around to watch the nightcap. Carroll scored the last 5 points to win 54-50.

Back to the Gallatin game. I think it took the Wildcats a quarter to get adjusted to the slick playing surface.

As for charging twice, in 2002 when Gallatin hosted, they cleared the gym, but did not double charge. If you were there for the 1st game you got a ticket and presented it when you came back for the 2nd contest.

Mack do you have any stats?

Well, hopefully the Wildcats can take care of their business and win this thing. And win in the first round at Richmond, should they get that far, because I won't be able to make it up to the All A state until Friday.

No, sorry I don't. In all the uproar about clearing the gym ASAP, I did not get a chance to get any between games, then got caught up in the second game and forgot to get them. I will make sure I get them tomorrow night.

The Wildcats started the road to Richmond Thursday night with a 64-38 victory against Eminence. The first quarter was rather sloppy with the Wildcats committing 9 turnovers in the first 8 minutes. They settled down and outscored the Warriors by a 23-9 margin in the second quarter, giving the Wildcats a 31-18 halftime lead. More of the same (scoring that is) in the 3rd quarter as the Wildcats built the lead to 55-28 after 24 minutes. The Wildcats caused 26 turnovers for Eminence during the contest. Cody Perkins paced the Wildcats with 14 points. 11 of those in the 3rd quarter. 12 Wildcats got into the scoring column during the game.

Scoring by Quarter:

Gallatin Co: 8 23 24 9 - 64

Eminence: 9 9 10 10 - 38

Individual Scoring:

Cody Perkins - 14 points

Trent Maddox - 13 points

Nate Edmondson - 8 points

David Henson - 8 points

The Wildcats will take on the Carroll County Panthers in the semi-finals tonight. Carroll County defeated Trimble County 54-50. The Wildcats extend their record to 17-3 on the season with the win.
