8th graders Cody Epperson and Justin Epperson will see Varsity action this year. I got a chance to watch SW practice last week and they will be competitive this year. TT and Trevor Jones were still out in fall sports and will only make the team better. SW has a kid that transferred in from Louisville that will help them reload. Aarong Young has improved alot over the summer and will suprise some people. They will definately miss Casey Daulton and his leadership at the Point. Nate Cross decided not to come out this year. He had a stellar Soccer season and is concentrating on it. That is what he will play at the next level.

How do you have a tie in a playoff game?

I drove by Somersets field yesterday and noticed they are redoing the infield. I think John Cole said if they redo their infield then he would play.( just joking about John but they are redoing the infield) I think Somerset has the most talent. But if something happened that they had to face Perkins from Rockcastle in the the first round of the district, there is a chance they wouldn't make it to the region. I am sure the same can be said about the rest of the teams in the 12th Region. Somerset has the talent, experience, and coaching to repeat. So I am going with them.

IN the late 90's Southwestern went to Cawood and won. The Final score was like 21- 14 even though the Warriors scored about 6 TD's that night. SO Good Luck to the jumpers this friday.

In the last 6 minutes of the game, with the game in the balance, there were two penalties called. 1 a 15 yarder against Corbin for a peronal foul. The other was a facemask against Somerset that was 1/2 the distance to goal. I couldn't see through the radio well enough to tell if those were good calls or not.

I heard today that Heather is doing a little better. The swelling in the brain has subsided some. Even though she is by no means out of the woods, your prayers seem to beworking. I am so glad, that my God rules, and answers prayers. Please continue to pray for Heathers recovery.
