When was the last time that has happened? . It has nothing to do with St. Henry, Cooper or any other NKY team. Do you still believe ND isn't having a down year?

I agree that the level of competition makes a difference. However, stats are so subjective and biased depending on the level of competency of the statistician. It's also extremely difficult to compare stats for different positions. A good middle will always have a higher hitting percentage than an outside hitter. A 6 rotation player makes many more contributions than a strong middle blocker playing only 3 rotations. Setters never get the respect they deserve and their stats are so dependent on hitters finishing. I put little credence when comparing stats. I don't think the NDA juniors fit in the discussion.

Maybe the staff should do a better job rotating some kids in. I've never seen so many kids standing around the sideline not even playing special teams. Good way to run kids out of the program.

Kaity is a very nice player and certainly in the discussion. When I've seen Cooper play, she rotated out in the back row playing only the front and serving. I would think Smith, Bush or McDonald would be the three top contenders for POY. In addition to statistical performance, I think leadership qualities and attitude would be a strong determining factor.

I disagree. Unless there are resume' building victories not on the KHSAA website, the schedule and results seems to confirm the "down year" that the NDA outsiders predicted. Straight set losses to Mt. Notre Dame, Assumption and Mercy along with a 3-1 loss to Ursaline is not typical of a good NDA team. The only remaining shot at a Cincinnati victory is St. Ursula next month. When's the last time NDA didn't beat any of the Cincinnati schools? Who has NDA beaten that indicates this is a strong team? Don't get me wrong, they are still the class of NKY but the whole region is down significantly from recent years.

The addition of Bravard will help anchor an already experienced and solid defense. I think the basketball players will add depth but it will take some time for the inexperience to subside. Don't know anything about Jefferson (other than what I read in the basketball forum) but would be surprised if a frosh would be much help this season.

I have absolutely no problem with every region's representative being at the state tournament. It is their reward for winning their region and so what if they get blown out in the first round and serve underhand? I consider it an elitist attitude to think otherwise. Now, if you wanted to go back to the 70's and early 80's by allowing 2 teams to advance to the state tournament, I'd be fine with that. But now do you want to seed the regional tournament to make sure that St. Henry doesn't land in the same bracket as NDA like last year?

Most migrations happen because parents/players are not happy with their current situation. Whether it be the position they are currently playing, the club administration, or the politics involved.

And this makes what NCC did even more special. Beating CovCath who has over 3 times the male enrollment and a strong hoops pedigree is no easy task. What NCC accomplishes year after year with their small enrollment is nothing short of amazing.
