I agree it is a good game for FHS to play,if for no other reason to put things in perspective.a good thing to check egos and make kids understand where they are in the pecking order.

Who was the previous coach? where is he now,and why did he leave?

who do you think have legit chances to come out of that side?

bell would have to get past franklin county more than liekly in the semi finals and playing catholic before that would be two very tough games in a row..... any thoughts on how this might affect their chances?

Do you think that those two teams could compete with the likes of bell co lex cath or franklin co?

what is the chances of bell county beating teams like lex catholic or franklin county who are more than likely the teams they will be playing to get to the state championship game??

I'll take FHS.They have steadily improved all year,and are not a one man team.They proved that against D,ville and the coaching staff is doing an outstanding job utilizing their athletes and game planning during the week. Hope EJ makes it back in the playoffs.They may not need him to win but are definitely better with him,and I just want to see him out there because he's a good kid from a good family.

FC will be focused from here on out.They had some distractions that had them less than focused and hopefully they will move foward and rally around each other.It is now a NEW SEASON FOR FC AND EVERYONE ELSE! The only thing better than high school football is high school football playoffs!!!!!

I'm changing the subject here but I passed the new campus yesterday on the way to a funeral in Cumberland.Man it looked impressive!Wondering out loud if the river might ever flood the field in the spring?

I think FC has run their offense this year as a trick and have been practicing the veer secretly all year long under coach Thacker's tutaledge!!!!!Look for them to unveil this at some point in the playoffs.Their opponent will not know what hit them!!!!

Glad someone knows a joke when they see it!I wished the county school board would see fit to just give some money to the sports programs for improving facilities.The capitol of Ky should be a showcase instead of an embarassment!

I think interference would be a better word than involvment.Your Panthers and My Flyers couldn't succeed without some of the parents at our programs! The Brian Joneses and Ed Fields of the world mean as much to the program as anyone!I am truly greatful to the men and women that CONTRIBUTE INSTEAD OF BEING A CANCER!

Turnarounds can happen.Look no further than across town to the east and south to Anderson!Athletes do make a difference,but good coaching will make more.It takes time and FULL FAITH AND EFFORT FROM PLAYERS AND PARENTS!That is something that hasn't happened at WHHS. Hard work and preparation win games.No excuses!Give these coaches a chance and they may build a respectable program.

Does anyone know if FC has a cover for the field or a way to get the field dry before Fri. night?

I am what?Not sure I understand your meaning.Anyway I'm on you side,root for FHS every week except one,Love coach Foley and staff,and lots of kids on FHS.Have known several and coached some on FHS from the old days in FYFL.Believe me everything I ever post is all in good fun,no harm ever meant.

My children all play sports,but I recocognize everyone's right to show spirit and have fun supporting their team.At FCHS games there is a particular gentleman who cheers and urges the crowd on the whole game.He is undoubtedly having nearly as good of time as the players!I don't think most bands or fans have much effect on the games at high school football fields in KY.If they can't perform under these conditions, God help them if they ever play at Neyland Stadium,Commonwealth,or the Pizza box!!!!You nailed this one Hector!

It is fun to check these threads,particularly FHS ones.Hip Hop and Tru B talk more trash than on the field but have learned to clean up the language in their old age!This game is a good measuring stick for FHS but does not have the meaning that it had in the past,sort of like playing FCHS now.The pride is in the win, but it's not a reason to hang your head if you lose.FOCUS ON THE PLAYOFF RUN!THE PROS DO IT ALL THE TIME!

Senior night for FC,emotions will be high.Hopefully the underclassmen will give full effort for their seniors and keep the momentum rolling heading into the playoffs.
