There is one battle in the Kentucky football playoffs that should the lower seed win will be one of biblical proportions. A modern David and Goliath story when Ashland travels to Painstville to take on the heavily favored Johnson Central Eagles. Ashland merely hopes to reach into it's sack and find that perfect stone to cast at the mighty giant from the mountains to be more than just a speed bump on their certain road to the carpet at Pappa Johns stadium in Louisville. A regular season pounding by the JC Eagles should be sufficient enough to keep the Tomcats from wanting to endure the same result but these Cats seem more focused and more determined now than in October of their last meeting and are hopeful to not get caught between a rock (stone) and a hard place.

As far as the game goes, I feel this team has a chance if they play with emotion and cut down on the mistakes. And having all of the planets in the solar system alligned perfectly Friday night wouldn't hurt either.

I am a little confused here. One persons comments of a supposedly printed t-shirt (of which I and others have never seen) is how you obtain your opinion of this program?

Definitely Ashland, whose only quality regular season win was against Mason Co. The Tomcats would have to get past Mason Co. again and then somehow upset undefeated powerhouse Johnson Central just to get to the probable Rock-Bell Co winner.

Hopefully the realization that the season could be over with this weekend will settle in on the Tomcats' minds this week to help them energize their emotions for Fridays' game, and I think it will. With this in mind then I expect the Cats to win another close one ( 3points or less ) against a determined Mason Co. team.

This should be a tough game. It all depends on which Ashland team comes to play, the unemotional one of the last couple of weeks or the ever improving one for most of the season. This game most definitely could go either way.

The real reason this game and the Russell game were not played in the rain was because we were just being considerate hosts..... We wanted you all to stay dry while you were taking your beating from the Cats.

This was and U-G-L-Y ballgame IMO by the Cats tonight. These kids were just not ready to play this game. It makes me wonder why.

There was probably as many BC faithful as there was Ashland calling for a domination by their respective teams.

Just got home and finished reading all of the posts on this thread and it appears that the constant precipitation outside :cry: :cry: :cry: has now made it inside to this thread.

This Mason Co team could give the Eagles a lot better game than they received last week against Ashland and if they let their guard down could be in for a tough fight at Maysville, but I still see the Eagles winning.

Fleming may be the best competition Russell has faced in a while but the Red Devils will coast once again.

He would definitely have to be overlooked because you wouldn't be able to look around him.
