John's back-up QB has looked very rough at times against North Hardin and Central Hardin. Offensive yards against North just over 100 and 200 against Central. Negtive passing yards is not going to win in 4A football. The starter might come back if John makes a deep run into the playoffs. John's Defense has look solid in both of those games, and special teams making huge plays. Coach Brown has done an outstanding job this year coaching this young team, but will need to come up with some offense, soon for John to make it to the Regional Championship game

Meade Co. is playing their best ball all year. North had all they wanted from Nelson Co. last week. Meade 28 North 27

Nelson Co. fans, First kids from Nelson Co. come out of the womb playing hard nose football and don't quit till the final whistle. But you are a few years away and I hope John keeps NC on the schedule when the new districts start next year. No Name; your right this years team doesn't compare with last years.

Well if memory serves me right just three weeks ago, John went up to Nelson Co. on the ten year anniversity of them winning the state title and won. This game will be played at John who just went undeated in the district which was no easy feat considering they lost there QB during the Nelson Co. game. No I don't think this game will be close John has a chip on there shoulder, something to prove to the state, this game might get ugly before halftime. Nelson Co. played a hard fought game at there place, this one will be at John. Might need to go ask St. X what it is like to play John at John. JH 35 N 7

Nelson County's QB is the key if they plan on making it a game. Coach Washington more than likely plan 9 in the box and make Nelson throw the ball with there young QB. Terry will for sure carry the load for North 25 plus touches. Autry will need to play a solid game at QB. North 28 Nelson 14

Agreed John's punt and kick coverage teams need to step-up, or Mr. Terry could have a big night.

EasyPro: If John's Defense shows up going to be a low scoring game. Neither team can put a scare into you with the pass, but John's offense features more talent and speed across the board. I'm sure John will put 10 in the box, all they have to do is play Autry and Terry, if someone else steps up, then they get beat.

Seen him today was putting weight on his leg, would said 50/50 chance he will play. More than likely will not know till later in the week. He did mention that the swelling has gone down, if I was a betting man, I say he'll play, after all it's North.........:fight:

Agree the Nelson Co. program is for sure headed in the right direction. It look like the numbers where down, but winning will fix that. Good luck the rest of the season.

With the district championship on the line, this should be a great game to watch. Both teams are seeking respect heading into the playoffs. I will predict the score, later in the week. Of course John will be the winner........ GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hearsay: Thanks for the concern looks likes a hamstring, know more when the MRI is complete. The game was very competitive in the first half, second half John's speed started to show and the O line decided to play. Good Luck the rest of the season esp against North.............

I fine that funny due to the fact the Sophmore QB has done everything Coach Brown has asked. Game one he bailed them out coming off the bench, and since then play within himself. Needless to said the O-line has not been playing up to there capiblities. He is 18/29 with 4/3 not stats that is going to blew you away, but remember John is a run heavy team. Honestly his recievers has drop many of his incomplete passes, it is not that our QB is not very good our reciever corp is sub-par at best. Coach Brown is bringing him along just fine not to said the young man has not made mistakes. The future looks brite at John, GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!

The problem that faces Bruner is he does not have the speed at Nelson that he had at X. This year John has been a work in progress on the offensive side of the ball and since week #1 have made strides in the passing game. The backfield has a number of weapons that can score on any given play. If Nelson plays 8 in the box or 9 to stop the run, look for John's QB to have a big night.

Not seeing Western, and have played against Larue Co. Do not count the Hawks out of this one. Should be very physical game, if Western has the speed the hawks could be in for a long night. Justin Thruman is the real deal, gets tired late in the game because going both ways. Western 28 Larue 27

Brown could surprize all of us, open it in the spread offensive. Now as far as John being soft, not going to argue that. Work still in progress, but the Defensive is showing signs of coming around.
