  1. Because I am pretty sure the KHSAA in their by-laws states the school administrators vote on seeding vs non seeding
  2. Yes this is a kid's game but we are not talking about the freshman or JV level where you are developing kids we are talking about the varsity level where everyone doesn't get a trophy. What is the point of playing regular season if those games do not matter? I still do not get it where a runner-up should play in the regional tournament but that is my personal opinion. To me take your district champs, draw the pill for your game and go. As a player losing by 24 (never happened to me) would not be something I would want to do and I can say being a district runner-up (regarding Augusta) and then knowing I have to play one of the 4 winners no thank you. This is not league ball, no other sport, recreational, college or professional from my knowledge makes the regular season not count except the KHSAA for 2 or 3 districts. It is ridiculous.
  3. I am not sure how you would want to shorten the season. You seemed to just rant without giving any suggestions. I can only use Texas as an example but I think they are on their regional finals (best 2 out 3) this past week with winners going to state. They have been playing best 2 out of 3 for I think the past 2 weeks. They start playing games in February but can because if the weather. The only way you shorten the season or have it end sooner is start playing games sooner which is almost impossible due to weather or take top 2 seeds from each district (no tournament) and start playing regionals last week instead of this week.
  4. No idea sportfan said Wagner played, I misspelled his last name, I thought it had a different spelling but I was wrong.
  5. He (Waggoner) is a senior who gets very little playing time.
  6. Adam Gray (played RF/P for JV) is a freshman you maybe talking about. I think him and Brooks (8th grader) are the youngest players.
  7. I could see being an outrage over the score if the varsity players were still in after the 2nd inning but they were pulled after the 1st inning (2 ABs per hitter I think).
  8. Was this originally going to be played tomorrow at NKU?
  9. In NKY most coverage is free. So Clyde is right if he is talking NKY. I know Lexington schools pay UK money for athletic training services. I am not sure where you are located but I would say the majority of schools in Kentucky pay for athletic training services.
  10. To answer your first question in NKY there is UC Health (Ortho), Commonwealth (St. E), Beacon & Cincinnati Sports Med (now Wellington I think which is Mercy) To your 2nd comment, it is very easy to get to Cincinnati but a lot of people do not like to cross the mighty Ohio River. I will also say I believe it is a huge liability not to have an athletic trainer at your school. To me even if you have to pay for one they save your schools a lot of money due to the fact they can evaluate & treat injuries and take care of injury prevention. AEDs should be at all competitions no matter what.
  11. UC - Florence NovaCare - Florence, Crestview, Highland Heights
  12. I think it comes down to respect for the game and respect for the team you are playing against. To me it is like pressing in basketball when you are up by 25 or more. I always hope it will bite the coach in the butt when they are down by 25 and people are pressing their team and running up the score. I played softball a long time ago in Texas and we had a lot of club softball players on our team (played year round) and in our district we played a team that was inner city and had very few girls who had the fundamentals to play the game but we had to play them. We could have absolutely killed them with a score like this, we could of made it a stat builder but we didn't. Once we got to the run rule we put our JV players in and finished the game that way and didn't embarrass our opponent. I will never understand a score like this EVER!
  13. That did not happen unless I missed something. He continued to play the remaining of the game without any problems. The same kid who started the game wasn't the same kid who finished the game?
  14. Campbell only threw 2 pitchers but there was quite a few errors and some timely hitting.
  15. So I don't want my name involved in this please but they were hitting off a pitching machine. She told the catcher to squat so she could pitch the ball. I am assuming they were scrimmaging per se. Catcher got mouthy, coach says squat, coach must turn around but then pitches the ball thinking the girl squatted. She didn't and hit her on the thigh.

Girl gets razzed by team because she did not go back in catch and she wanted to hit. Girls jokingly said you have to play defense to hit. Nothing comes of it.

I don't know the timeframe but board calls and gives coach 2 options, one of them being a 1 game suspension (I can't remember the other, I think 5 days without pay). She says I will get back with you, super calls her and says I decide to take 1 game suspension. Super says no that option is not there. Coach says well there is a 3rd option and says I resign.

In the mean time parents call cops, call in 6 girls 5 of them give same story the 6th does not the 6th is the catcher.

  16. Brad Carr is liked by many coaches not just basketball. I would say it could happen, not that it will. It also was brought up earlier in the thread that someone had heard it may happen.
  17. No I think teams are not scheduling Scott because they do not like how this has happened. Has it been officially said if Brad resigned or was he removed from the coaching position? I would also say if it was Trame (baseball coach at Scott) who had the recording teams who do not have to worry about the NKAC part of their schedule will not schedule them for baseball.
  18. Would it be the recording was not made public on social media like the fight was?
