  1. Great comment. And I agree. I hope he heals up quick from the knee surgery.
  2. Coach Gooch and is staff are building this program the right way. I believe he just had knee replacement, so that shows you how much this guy works! :ylsuper:
  3. Spring football is not mandetory. Whoever wants to come can come out. I have seen baseball players go to football practice afterwards and some choose not to. If a coach gives players a hard tim for playing baseball then he is acting in a selfish manner.
  4. I don't think anybody wants their neck broke. I see it as a way to get athletes out that normally wouldn't think about coming out and give them a feel for the sport. I believe that having full contact practices during this time a big risk with very little reward.
  5. Excellent post. To add to what you said, it is not about the plays, its about the fundamentals and how the plays are executed. How well does the WR runs routes, how well does the offensive protects the QB and picks up pressure, among other things. Tony Franklin and his staff does a great job teaching the little things. From what I have seen, they give out DVDs containing drills, plays done by other teams running this system, and the clinic so you can watch it over and over. It is a system. It is not about the plays.
  6. I see them improve from last year. The talent level wasn't quite there last year, but I believe Edge will have them ready to play every game this year. What an impressive program Edge has continued to build year after year.
  7. Very well said, Ram.
  8. How i read it, it looked like an easy out. But you know more about that situation than me. So I trust you Rock!
  9. Whatever fits your players. (great nonanswer )
  10. Whose job is it to sell the program? No need to give excuses.
  11. Is the Def Coord. still there? Name?
  12. I think that is where teams can really separate themselves and improve. Reps. Reps. Reps. Coaching on the run. Did Mumme create it. No, but he does a great job doing it. Franklin, like any successful coach, took what he liked and what he thought would work and made his own version of it.
  13. Henry County runs it. They beat up on Casey Co. pretty good last year. :( They seem to do a good job.
  14. I see it as a way of controlling growth.
  15. I agree with you. Which makes me think now that Boyle Co. can get a coach as good as Morris but without the demands and circus.
  16. If I was a coach in Morris' situation where I knew I was getting $1 million within the next year, money would not be a big part of the deal. Honestly. $1 million changes family trees. Not to include the money he was already paid by Baylor. If he really is trying to negotiate more money than the average coach than my opinion of this man just hit the ditch.
  17. Why would you schedule a news conference not knowing whether it is needed?
  18. If they scheduled a news conference then the decision has already been made. Right? Geez you would hope so.
  19. Let's find out when it is their turn. :sssh: Right Guru!!
  20. They need someone new to call the plays on offense.
  21. If you want to be in the title game, then beat them!! It is that simple.
  22. Shame on coaches who do this. If a student is good enough to be involved in three different sports and enjoys it, leave him (or her) be. Coaches who do this are selfish. :fire::fire::fire:

Where exactly is the game at in Lex? Is it on the LCA campus?
