Wales doesn't play defense, Belfry proved they were the second best team in 3A, Bell Co. couldn't even score on Central!

How are the visiting and home teams decided for the state championship games??

Belfry was slow out of the gate, down 15-0 but once they settled down in the second quarter they went on a 28-6 run to take the lead. But I guess since Central shredded Bell Co., and shut them out then Belfry doesn't stand a chance. Belfry is a better team than last year, and in no way am I saying that they will win, but some of you guys are not giving Garrard enough credit, that team was pretty good, and played at home with a whole town behind them, Belfry pulled it out when it counted and they will be playing in Bowling Green, for a chance at a state title, thats all you can ask for as a Pirate fan.

Totally Agree... it was a classless act... Chapman needs to learn from Haywood that teaching the right thing is always superior to wins and losses. In the long run no matter how many wins Haywood ends up with, he will be remembered as much for his sportsmanship as for his wins, and that right there tells you all you need to know about him. Congrats Coach Haywood!..

I would move Belfry to atleast the #3 spot.. 2010 State Runner Up and undefeated on the season so far.

Looks like it happened already, the Williamson Daily News is reporting that the BOE voted to name the field after Haywood.

Being a Belfry Fan for my whole life, my dad and I were sitting at the game last night and talking about how significant and what a special night this was to be watching a game at Belfry, we don't miss a game anyway! But I was proud to be from Belfry last night and proud of our Programs accomplishments. With all the hard work and dedication that Coach Haywood has put in for so long I think it is long overdue for them to name the field after him. The man deserves that and more!

I don't think the penalties are severe enough, it was blatant that the coach, or coaches were picking the students up and providing transportation for them to attend Pike Central. This is a slap on the wrist for a coach who doesn't like to play by the rules. He should at least have to sit out some district play, instead of the easiest part of their schedule.
