Final Score.

Ouch... Congrats to Belfry. LC needs to regroup and fast.

Congrats to Belfry on the Win.

LC, your were beaten by a very good football team. Keep your heads up and get ready for the rest of the season and the playoffs.

I'd like to tip my hat to Coach Haywood on becoming the winningest coach in KY high school history. He is a class act, Belfry has top notch facilities + he runs a top notch program. I know this sounds crazy but I've been around this Lawrence Co program off and on for almost 20 years. I feel like we have an opportunity in front of us to grow in a way that I'm not sure I've ever felt. I expect us to roll up our sleeves+get to work to get this program back on track one practice at a time! Time to raise the bar+get to work! Congrats to Belfry!

Congratulations to Coach Haywood and the Pirates.

First class post, stick1. Lawrence has a lot of young talent on the field and I hope you are right about their future. Good luck to the Bulldogs, I have always been a fan.

Coach Haywood is a great coach, mentor and a great man. I am proud to be his friend and extremely proud to have him represent our football program. He will be humble about this record and will accept the accolades with humility and will deflect all the credit to his players, assistant coaches and community support. Just the type of guy he is, and it is all genuine.

Congrats to Coach Haywood and it will soon be his on his own. A class act that runs a class act program.

Being a Belfry Fan for my whole life, my dad and I were sitting at the game last night and talking about how significant and what a special night this was to be watching a game at Belfry, we don't miss a game anyway! But I was proud to be from Belfry last night and proud of our Programs accomplishments. With all the hard work and dedication that Coach Haywood has put in for so long I think it is long overdue for them to name the field after him. The man deserves that and more!

Congrats to Coach Haywood and Belfry!

:thumb:I would agree they named our field after Dudley last season and it was long overdue.

It will happen at some point although I know Coach Haywood wouldn't be in favor of it while he is still active. Sooner or later though the Pirates will be playing on Philip Haywood Field.

As a devoted Lawrence County fan I'd just like to say that if we have to lose at least it was to one of the best coaches to ever coach in Eastern KY! Congratulations to Coach Haywood! LC fans have always had the utmost respect for Belfry and their incredible coach. :thumb:

This LC team is going to be tough come playoff time, but I just don't know if anyone in 3A could have beaten Belfry Friday?

:thumb:That is why he is a class act.

Looks like it happened already, the Williamson Daily News is reporting that the BOE voted to name the field after Haywood.

Congrats Coach...never met you but from all I've read on here you are very deserving!!!
