Belfry played a very complete game tonight, very few mistakes by the Pirates, they looked sharp tonight. It was total domination by the Pirates with Pburgs lone TD coming on the JV with a few seconds to go. Way to go BUCS!! Now lets go to the Rock!

I agree and I think it will be a good game as well, but Belfry needs to work a few kinks out thats for sure. Thier special teams defense was horrible against PC, and Belfry needs more intensity IMO, they don't seem to always play with emotion, I would love to see more intensity, especially on the defensive side of the ball, I know for a fact that Belfry can do better then they are right now and they need to get tier act together before Oct. 13th rolls around, lets hope thier not looking ahead to SC and that this game gets them better prepared for the game the week after.

IMO this is a game that will prove wether Shelby Valley is a contender or pretender in this district. Yes they are 5-1, but we will see this friday just how good they are. I look for a very good game between these two teams, if Shelby Valley can hang around then it could be a barn burner.

Yes you do play the hand dealt and when Mercer makes it to the 3rd round of the playoffs.. that will be when thier real schedule begins, there is a ton of pressure on this team, if they wan't to make it the pizza box then they better be mentally tough, because pressure does funny things to teams.

Looks like wildcat2020's argument about being a "small" 3A school has been shot out of the water, looks to me that Mercer is a lot closer to 4A by the numbers.

If they are a small AAA school as you say, then explain to me why they are jumping all the way to 5A next year instead of just to 4A.

A little rain never hurt anything.. this is football, who cares how muddy the field is or if it drains well.. strap the cleats on and play.

I love Belfry's facilities because it has a stadium feel to it, The only improvement I would make to CAM Stadium is putting a Pirate in the middle of the field turf.

I never said you stated it either, matter of fact I used your statement as a quote, so you should be easily able to see you didn't state that Ashland could beat those three... but I was stating MY opinion that neither could do it, I hope they prove me wrong but I'm doubtful.

I understand your points, but you must realize even though Russell has Kasey Clark, they still did no better against Ashland than Belfry did, Belfry is just as solid of a ballclub as Russell, if you want proof of that then ask a Russell fan they will tell you, that this is true. As I have said Russell may have Clark, but if he is so much of a difference why was the score virtually the same.. answer me that one?

I don't think JC or Ashland could come withing three TD's of any of the top three.

There can't be much difference between these two team, because if you compare them against Ashland, they seem pretty equal to me they both took the tomcats to OT! And both had a serious chance at beating them. It is never wise to compare teams just because they have played the same opponent, but since you compared them that way, tell me what makes one better then the other, when the outcome of each game was about similiar.

That whole post doesn't make sense at all.. Belfry and Pikeville is a huge rivalry and as most people know those games never go as planned, and usually are very close... Pikeville is a lot better 1A team then alot will give them credit for. Breathitt has put together a nice season, but I am sure they are on everyone's radar and believe me Belfry is good ..they are year in and year out!

I think SC wins it, they better get it back on track, because Belfry is coming up real soon.
