I also would like to apologize to all of the readers, the Elliott fan's and Ferg fan's on here for all this confusion!! Hopefully this should satisfy everyone:ohbrother::deadhorse:

It took a couple days and some research, but here is what I found! Coach Mays keeps keeps stat's and points in a book for each season! They are kept on top of his cabinet or desk!He also has a few games each year(5/3, Ky bank shootout, Ky West V shootout etc) where his people dont keep the stats and points. They are given to him on a sheet which he keep in a folder in file drawer! The Khsaa sheet Henry Steele is freaking out about is mainly for media purposes and is not required by Khsaa unless you are entering the state tourney!! When Coach Mays had his high school helper to fill out the sheet he told him our record, how many games we played and said get the book and fill in the stats and points!That is just what he did he entered the stats and points from the book unaware of the ones in folder in file drawer! The same person did it both years! The assistant Coach didnt double check it because he said it was mainly for the media and he just turned it in also unaware of the missing games!! I made the statement in one of my post previous to this last stab in Jonathan's back that I looked at the Khsaa sheets also and all the games werent included! Pretty sure I posted that in the closed thread and this one! The games entered were right for each year...24-6 Soph and 26-3 Jr because Coach told him what our record was to get him started, but all the points arent on that sheet because the ones in file drawer weren't included! When the Coaches added up his total points from both sources.....that was the numbers turned in to the independant and the correct ones!! This was confirmed by the assistant Coach yesterday!!!!!!!!!!

Way to go Shelby Valley!!!!!!!!!! I would say they are in the running for the other title also...contrary to popular belief!!!!!!!!!! I have coached some reffed some and watched Basketball for 35 years and I said before...I have watched em all several times and there is no clear cut fave!! IMO

I already told you in another thread that when they awarded him the 2000 he was really at 2288 because the 8th hadn't been added by the student assistant!! That only leaves 252 to be scored in the remaining twelve games for that season which would have him at 2540 at season's end!! Add the 470 for this season and you have 3010!! The reason the internet site's didnt agree is because all the games weren't entered which I also have already stated! I saw where the courier journal said he averaged 28.2 last season which would have been 846 but he actually only had 804 I believe!!!!!!!!!! I am sure you could go to dozens of different places and get lots of different numbers but the numbers the Independant had were what his COACH says he has and that should be sufficient for anyone!!!!!!!!!! Thank's for the congrat's if you really meant it!!!!!!!!!!

What are you talking about????? When they honored him with the 2000 he actually had several more than that because of an addition mistake..Did you not read my post????? Common sense would tell you that if he scored 530 in those 12 and 470 this year + the 8th grade that had not been added in he would be way over 3000!!!!!!!!!!

Henry Steele!.......H'mm....I don't know what your motive or intent is or why you would try and defame my son!!! I talked to the Coach last night about YOUR PROBLEM! he advised me not even to reply to you because he knew the numbers are right, but I felt I needed to!!!! You have researched and dug around tried to pick Jonathan apart with this question: How could he score 2000 last year and(you said 30 but it was more than that) in 30 more games score 1000 to reach the 3000 mark!! The answer Coach gave me was quite simple: He said the student assistant who figured up Jonathan's points didn't add the eighth grade in and when they became aware of it he was already well past the 2000 mark!!!!! So they waited till the next home game and honored him as they try to do all their milestones at home!!!!!!!!!!

His Coaches did the figuring from the books they keep or computer however they do it! If you really need it I could possibly get a breakdown on it! I know he avgd well over 20 for most of those years and played over 30 games each season!!!!!!!!!!

I think they are all dependable for the most part! I just don't think we were mentally prepared last night!! All of them had good moments and bad moments!!! Missed lot's of frow's and didn't shoot real well from the perimeter, BUT we still got the W!!!! Once again "the sum of the parts exceeded the individual's"!!!!! As individual's we were off our game last night, but the sum of the part's carried us through!!!!!! .....Man I even impressed myself with this one!!!!!!!!!!:clap:

Not really. There are sixteen guy's on Khsaa list that scored over 1000 in a season with the highest being 1734. Ferguson is online for eight hundred thirty five for this season based on the average he has right now on the high school site and Elliott playing approx. thirteen more games. Congratulation's Jonathan.

I think its ridiculous at the shine people are cutting over these score's! If you dont want to get thumped don't play the game!! Yes we took plenty when I played and it didn't hurt me none!!! If anything it made me work harder to get better!!!! When these kids get out in the real world it isnt a piece of cake and if someone can beat them by a 1000 so to speak, they will!!!!! Quit whining and move on to the next one!!!!!!!!!!
