Pendleton should have won this one.Their young players seemed tight from the start.They kind of played the way they did at the start of the season.The kids from Nicholas deserved to win this one.

And if that day happens in the regional then you might be done.They couldn't hit at Pendleton Co. a week ago either and barely excaped with a win against a weak wildcat team 3 to 1.

What has happened to Mason Co in the last few weeks?

There is nothing wrong with turning toward the catcher at all.Some coaches teach the players to not move other than turn their back to the pitcher and get hit.It is rarely called but I think should be.It is not to hard for the ump to tell if the player is trying to get out of the way.I was at a game last night and probably four players from the same team got hit.Only one of them would have been hit if they had tried to move out of the way.It was obvious what they were coached to do.

Harrisons pitcher seemed to get better the longer the game went.I don't know how many hits the Breds had but not too many.Patrick J. pitched a good game as well.

I don't think Setty will be able to bulk up very much,but every little bit will help.

He plays shortstop when not pitching.He was the starting catcher as an eighth grader,so he can play anywhere.:thumb:

Kids that get drafted very high out of high school are few.Most that get drafted go on to college and work on their game and then improve on their standing in the draft.Someone who can throw hard has the potential and college coaches can help them with their control and mechanics.

You have forgotten the reason for moving.Dad is tired of driving 3 or 4 hrs per day to and from work.:laugh::laugh:

Highlands problem yesterday imo was hitting.They probably didn't hit 3 balls that were hard hits.

Two weeks ago there were some that said the fielding was not going to improve with who was playing. Guess that matter is settled now. Camels are playing pretty well.

The left field line is not 330 by no means,maybe 310 at the most.

The extra 3 feet if they move it back will open the game up more for the hitters.It doesn't sound like much but that three feet will give them a lot more time to hit the ball.

It was 2 to 0 going into the bottom of the fourth and HC scored 9 runs to win by a score of 11 to 0.PC has too many young players that can't hit varsity pitching and therefore has not been able to score runs this year.I think they have 2 juniors,2 soph. and the rest are freshman and middle school.

No dog in this fight,but kids going to the batting cages on their own and having practices on their own is nothing a lot of school kids do if they want to get better.My son used to play and he and his friends would do this all the time on their own to try and make themselves better players.They did not attend CCHS.This year had been terrible to get in practices because of the weather also.

Two losses are to nobodys.:D:D

Pendleton's defense was their downfall in this one.They have a lot of young players and it showed last night.They will improve as the year goes along.
